...are placed too far apart. All of the photos show them very close together. The way they're positioned in the game is like the 0.303s on the old RAF Mustang Is.

It's purely an aesthetic thing, but it's wrong, and I've never seen it mentioned. (And before some semi-sentient pond life makes a smug remark about the search function, I have neither the time nor the inclination to wade through all the 'the 50 cals are porked!!' threads to see if this issue of gun placement has been pointed out in here before.)

It looks wrong the way it is...because it is wrong.

cheers,
Ratsack

If we really want to be picky the whole wing setup on the P-51B/C is wrong too. They basically have D wings without the extra guns.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

True dat, but I think this problem ranks right along side raaaid's propeller idea.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

You're right: they're wrong bloody wings!

I wish they'd taken out the outer gun instead of the middle one, though.

Also the landing gear doors are wrong and they actually clip the 3D model in the wingroot when the gear is down.

Not worth rebuilding the model over...just saying that the P-51 is a mixed blessing of a model. The cockpit itself is quite high quality and the external for the most part is also very nicely done (especially when you compare it to the Mig-3 for instance) but there are errors.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

yes they are wrong, but be happy oleg didnt model the guns jamming on the B and C and he should. Many of the us aircraft have alot of wrong doings like the p47 payload positions.

I think most of the U.S. aircraft have inaccuracies in either the model, the flight/damage models, and/or weapons.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
