News out this week has Donald Campbell's daughter Gina thinking about selling the wreck of the boat on auction site eBay after falling out with Lottery bosses.
Gina Campbell wants the boat to be repaired, but the Lottery Heritage Fund wants it to remain partially damaged.
Ms Campbell has also said she is considering dumping the jet-powered Bluebird K7 back in the Cumbrian Lake where it crashed after a restoration cash row.

A sad state of affairs again for this countries historical heritage when lottery money is so often squandered on airy fairy projects, but is flatly turned down to keep for future generations, a land mark of British Racing Technology and a memorial to one of Britain‚‚ā¨ôs last true hero‚‚ā¨ôs‚‚ā¨¬¶ For Shame‚‚ā¨¬¶ http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

your country isnt the only country to have a Lottery Commission run by Airheads

here in New Zealand some of the most useless community projects imaginable have been run from Lotto money

what is it with humans when you put them in charge of distributing cash ? is it an automatic braincell annihilator or what

Well the Lottery must be funding the seven blokes who are ALWAYS in the pub at the top of my street because they sure as **** don't spend any time earning money, only spending it. Nice work if you can get it.

There's a Victor at the Yorkshire Air Museum that they're allowed to run up and down the runway. A Victor and a Vulcan would make a great V-bomber duet. Are there any Valiant air-frames that could be made airworth left?

Come along now gents, you should all be aware that OUR lottery money must be squandered on fringe minority groups, opera houses and the like. It is the British Governments/Lottery Commission way!

To think that OUR lottery money could be used to preserve heritage, good causes etc is really being rather naive........... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I'm afraid that priorities in the UK are all to hell.
