God my squad mates in the 99th... how they love me. They show me this in so many ways...

1. They're constantly giving me cute little nick names like "turtle head", "Lard ***", "Helen Keller", "Biscuit Eater" and other loving names too numerous to mention.

2. When I'm on a bombing run and they're providing fighter cover, they often return from dogfighting (oh those guys are masterful at dogfightin') in time to watch me auger into the ground in flames. They ALWAYS express sympathy and tell me how many points I would've had, were I not taking a dirt nap.

3. When I do manage to land in one relative piece those skamps show their love and appreciation by flying as close to my plane as humanly possible. I'm sometimes quite startled by this action and have on more than one occaision expressed my great surpise. Sometimes however, they run into me in their "exuberance" which leads to an untimely demise for both of us.

4. On the rare occaisions I'm called on to dogfight my M8's are so helpful. Whenever I get a bandit in a bad way, someones always on the spot to save me ammunition by finishing the bugger off for me. I may even get a kill someday if I work at it.

Ah, with friends like these...

Free hug?

Everbody is just tryin' to help you. Why would you do the killing if they can do it instead of you?

You should say, thank you, to them.

I don't believe in flying close escort for bomber pilots. Hell, they have lots and lots of defensive guns on their crates they just don't know how to use them properly.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

That's it...time to split the forums. Fighter jocks post only on the PF side. Real pilots post here...

The problem with bomber crews especially the pilot and copilot is that most of them are totally drunk all the time or getting over a huge hangover so none of them is capable of hitting the broad side of a barn with their butts let alone hitting anything more then a few feet away with their guns and bombs.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Never in my born days have I seen a man beg so hard for a butt whoopin'. Fighter jocks. Pheh... spend all day "tear assin'" around the country side buzzing schools, hospitals and little ole ladies. After you've shot down the last enemy and strafed the last donkey cart whatcha gonna do? Land, pull your pistol and declare "victory"? No, you need the bombers to fatten and flatten the place and infantry to take and hold the dump... Fighter jocks, bout as useful as Paris Hilton at a church social.

Well, you know I'll always fly them A20's with ya, and tear some stuff up!!

Now, if I could just get you into a B-25. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/crackwhip.gif

Also, I'm sure you remember a certain fighter jock that met up with my A20(not the rear gunners, either), and he met an untimely demise after a good dogfight.
