Wish I had the track of me in my TB-3 downing those three silly FW-190s who were foolish enough to jump me.

Went vertical in my bomber, from 1000 to 10,000' in less than a minute, then flipped over, came straight down on all three (who were stalling out at 8000') and my nose gunner took out two on a single pass.

I got the third one myself; released all four 1000 pounders and scored direct hits on the last Nazi scum.

Damn! I wish I had that track. Woulda shown you all!!!

1.You has a very big problem with your EGO !

2. the reason why you are not flying on a server with your nickname RBJ is absolut clear.

3.The other pilots shoot you down to much, and you know it !

4.Because you have no practical clue about aircombat, maybe

5.And tell me not you are flying with a other nickname on a server because all pilots chasing you because you are RBJ

You are an ace , or better an ace of aces, but only in talking and wrighting nonsens in this forum !

First of all, if you don't think I am an ace, then YOU must not be an ace.

True aces can tell I am an ace just by the way I talk. If you aren't an ace yourself then it's hard to pick it up. But then again, aces are like 1 in 300 so it's not like I would expect you to understand.

Those who think I am an ace are either a) aces themselves or b) ahead of their time.

So anyway, you want to see my taking out a dozen LA7's with a 109k4? I can do that, you know. Is it possible to record a track of a quick mission? (Sorry I'm an ace, not a video editor..i have made a couple tracks before though) Maybe I will start thinking of making a track and then will give it to one of you to host (if you are lucky) AI are nothing though. I specialize in taking on whole online squadrons at once.

I take on 401Cdn, MOH, AFJ, Redwulf, plus those guys that spell their manes all in CAPS all the time. (well not lately, because FB is borked) Thats what aces do. They can turn any disadvantage into a stalemate and hold off numerous fighters at once (of course this doesn't mean turning and burning with them!) Probably the funnest thing for me is having 4 bogies chasing me through clouds. It's like those cops chasing RAMBO through the woods.

"The Farce is strong with this one." -What an ace said of RayBanJockey during a fight when he was still a newbie.

I believe the above is actually the intended sig. for RBJ, but owing to his intermittent English spelling skills from earlier in this thread he missed his error.

Quality, not quantity of kills is the best guide to success. Example: I was very chuffed with escaping 4 Ace FW-190's in a IL-2 in late war combat at less than 50m by running rings around chimneys in a small industrial town, and even managed enough free time to shoot one down with a deflection shot. More importantly my squadron escaped, completed the objective and returned home without casualties.

You fly alone so you escape responsibility or concern for your collegues. How small of you. Everything is about you. No wonder you have enough time to put over 2000 posts here (of which many people have voiced concerns over with regards to quality - especially lack thereof). No one speaks of teaming with you, so clearly you are a liability as a friend in online combat.

You (and people like you) are the reason why 95% of people (myself included) play offline. No one likes a smart-*** who thinks he's god. Perhaps getting a life might be a career goal you should look into. I can tell you it helps a lot and I believe it will assist you in getting off of your high horse and returning to the human race, which sadly it appears you are part of. At the present time you are the face and voice which may very well encourage more abortions in the world as people strive to avoid adding more cretins like yourself to the already overpopulated planet.

If we do not overcome the selfishness and inbreeding which you signify, the human race will be doomed to die before its time is due. See the error of your ways, or suffer the consequences of them.

are you a lying chicken?

your postings about how to cheat and your ambiguity and whimsical change of opinions like underwear makes your credibility more than dubious.

plus your absolute lack of knowledge (ignorance?) regarding anything related to Aircraft does not help your claims.

by your response I must conclude that you dont have a clue about how to upload tracks, which adds to your absolute lack of knowledge.

How you expect to teach somebody if you dont have a clue about what you are talking about?

Those who might have ACTUALLY have bothered to read my post might have noticed that I don't actually compete online. Please read posts before bashing them LL. Most supervillians know history. Pity you're a wannabe....But then again, the world is likely to cower away from "Clown Boy". You're up late for a school night, don't you have homework to do?

And I have no intention of quoting Henry Kissinger. If he said it all power to him. But he was not my source.

As for nappies, if you & RBJ can raise your posts above the quality of the contents of those garments, it would be a tremendous help.

I will point out that no-one here is ACTUALLY an ace from the time period (WWII). I am not claiming to be one, and neither are the vast majority of others here. We derive pleasure from re-creating battles of that era and attempting to emulate the feats of those who were involved in it. BUt we do not claim to be better than them.

I am quickly scanning down the lists of aces from history and it lists names like Hartmann, Rall, Barkhorn, Galland, Marseille, Johnson, Gabreski, Kozhedub, Clostermann etc etc, but no where does it say RayBanJockey or LEXX_Luthor. But just to make sure I looked under other pseudonyms you use, but again "world-class ****" did not appear either. Sorry to bruise your egos.

Do not claim to be an ace, as all you are doing is dishonouring and insulting those who actually were/are in real-life.

How about ANON as in anonymous?

Better still: RayBanJockey's Flying Circus. Wait, RFC is already used.

You say you are an ace, and repeatedly refer to yourself as such. It has come to my attention that this is shortened version of it's actual meaning - which from what understand is actually "acehole".

Enjoy your life. Just keep it to yourself. We're not interested.

That's funny, never have I seen a single pilot give the 401 a lesson. I am sure that the fine pilots of the other squadrons you named would say the same. Besides, 401/402 are the ones who spell our names all in CAPS! Have you ever been online with any of these squads? Or do you just sit trembling at our names in HL.

Don't worry though sport, I beleive you are an ace! Hell you have been playing online for years right? I will give you some advice though... a little bit of patience and teamwork and your 6th kill may come soon!

Much as I think a lot of what RBJ says is an utter waste of space (anything to do with trim for example), I think that some of you guys should re-read the whole thread. I've just gone through it all, and I reckon RBJ's tongue is firmly in his cheek. Sometime's his head is up his.... but not in this thread. He did'nt get voted funniest community member for nothing. I bet the old unibrow is twitching with laughter (if that's anatomically possible).

Does online gaming incur any extra lag if you save your flight after it ends (like in single player)? Or do you have to hit the record button specifically during online? Sorry, not poking fun, I really don't know.

Oh, and to save an offline track after you fly it, just hit the little "save track" button. You said you didn't know how, I believe. Just trying to help. I could care less about the topic... except that I love the arguments you guys (and gals, sorry) get into

You can't save an online track other than while 'in-game'. To do this you have to hit a key/button assigned to the Record Track feature. This causes a momentary (less than a second for me) stutter, which some people have used to put off a bandit on their six. Boo hiss. Once the track is recording I have never seen any instance of it causing me any lag whatsoever.
Mind you, what technology is RBJ using? My tracks are recorded onto the hard drive, not video-tape. Lol.

lets have a knock down drag out between these guys.

i mean lets host a server with like 25 people and do a one on one and see whos best maybe best 3 out of 5.

I will enen fly against RBJ. Im not saying im the end all be all but if he beats me that will show clear skill too maybe he could fly off against a couple of us "one at a time of course" but if he beat a couple of the comunities finest he we could put this to rest.

and im not saying im one of the comunities finest. thier are plenty better than i. Its just that i would like to see how i fair against him if hes as good as he say's he is.

I've been on some of the full real servers & well got my butt kicked, can't see that a singleton can have any chance against a team using comms, exept by never entering into a DF & only picking of straglers, which may be a good way of behaving if its your RL *** on the line, realy isn't much fun in a game. So what makes you an ace?

Heartman, Bong and McGuire never bragged. And if they did, they had proof. You brag and dont have proof.

Also, real aces had gun cam footage to prove it. You had to do more then say you shot down X aircraft, you had to have it on film, have whitnesses, and much more. You dont have squat. Your not an ace, just a joker.

You can throw away the privilege of acting, but that would be such a shame. The tribe has elected you to tell its story. You are the shaman/healer, that's what the storyteller is, and I think it's important for actors to appreciate that. Too often actors think it's all about them, when in reality it's all about the audience being able to recognize themselves in you. The more you pull away from the public, the less power you have on screen.

dear Mr Unkraut ( another RBJ alias?) first if you dont want to learn its your problem, at least you are not boasting to know everything like your friend RBJ does ( and very loosely ) I have seen this board for more than a year and I have seen how many people want to learn and be the best ( and they dont go around screaming like mentally disabled children "Im an ACE"), I dont need a pat in the back, why would I want one?
and you might be right...just because I say something it does not have to be that way ( I can Learn too), and regarding my grammar...take in account English is not my primary language.

RBJ said he has NO FRICKING CLUE how to upload a track. and no intention to learn. you're stuck with taking his word for being an ace.

in time, when RBJ has long since faded away, his name will take on mythical proportions in the dim memories of the oldies. tales will be past on from the elder to the younger (because nobody wants to read his posts more than once and he left no tracks) and soon children will vow "i want to be like RayBanJockey". a cult will develop. soon, mass suicide will follow.

Until then, stick your AOL where the sun don't shine. For all I know, you are getting paid for people to sign up. This if funny for me, not because you people are so flipant, but because I really am an ace and can comfortably watch you all make fools of yourselves.

Take it easy, it's just a flight-sim, I fly in real life myself and even I do things in FB that I would NEVER EVER do in real life, so if you're not a real life ace, then relax and enjoy what they've given us..... Or you could host a server with 3-4 people, limitation, against you and prove your acehood to them..... right?

Ray,

I'm being serious for a minute here. I would really like to see you fly. If I give you my mail addy. Would you send me some tracks? I would then have your addy, and I give you my word. I won't give it out, or tell anybody who you are. I can tell them I saw your tracks, and that you are an ace. What do you say? No tricks. I'm being honest with you. Here's a way for you to shut everybody up, and you can keep being RayBan in secret.

I never made any tracks of dogfights. I could if i wanted to though.

I can still shred at this game but until the patch comes out, I really have no desire to play it.

As we all know its a little borked and I sensed this right from the first day and thus have been waiting for a patch and thus have not bothered to do the rigorous testing. The rigorous testing contains crucial information.

I have studied the K4 (because it is the best online plane) and can kick some serious butt. I wish I didn't have to apply the RBJ shift and I wish the trim was fair for everyone like it was in IL2.

Oh well. Doing the K4, riding 105% throttle and auto prop, obeying the fundametals and exploiting the manual prop during zoom climbs, using lots of trim in turns ... it's been fun when I have given it a go. Of course I get called a cheater by Yak pilots but that's their problem.

Still no answer or definitive proof as to your "aceness" ?

Other "claimed aces" are only too happy to prove it. Perhaps your lacking in some area that they were not.

Might I suggest that you back down on your claims before your either forced to prove\disprove them or you just vanish from the forums altogether.

I cant see any other choice for you right now /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Of course you can always continue to look like a ace wannabe and a general forum fraud - you know the type "all talk and no action".

this thread should have been lock the first day it appear, i have visited a lot of forums and these forums (hardforums,sharkyforums,rage3d forums etc) have rules to not allow members attack each other. on top of it all here we have a "moderator" fueling the fire. if you want to get proof of something do it with private messaging (if this forum has it). does it matter if he is/not an ace in a artificial simulation. this will be another story if it were real life battles

give it a rest. do you really care about Unkraut & RBJ?
you've been around here for a long time, even longer than RBJ iirc, so you've seen his developement from nobody to monobrow to stuff on a slider to eternal acehood then. if he gets his rocks off that way why worry?
so he declined your generous webspace offer and you are surprised? not me.

There's nothing wrong with the FM of the K4 right now. It can easily out fly any plane in the game. It's also your plane of choice.

You can make a track right now. Show us you takingon 4 ace Yak3's, and another with 4 La7's. Even I can do that. Show us something, or put a cork in your bragging. It's really worn to thin to be funny anymore.

You guys don't want the truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want RBJ to be an ace, you need RBJ to be an Ace. You use words like honor, code, no rotary trim. You use these words as the backbone of your inadequacies. He uses them as a punchline. He has neither the time nor the inclination to explain himself to a group who lives or dies under the blanket of information he provides then questions the manner in which he provides it. He would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise he suggests you pick up a stick and do your own testing. Either way, he doesn't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

It wouldn't surprise me to discover RBJ's an ace. As he said above he does talk the talk but aces know what makes an ace: It's combining good flying skills with real time tactics and making the kill when the opportunity arises.

No doubt he's a marked man and wouldn't stand a chance under his callsign in a public server, which is why he flies under aliases. An ace pilot under an alias is all the more deadly for obvious reasons but it's also a hollow test.

Although someone may be good, nobody's an ace until they've gone head to head in a 1v1 or 2v2 with all their cards on the table; but everyone here knows that. No way of knowing for sure how your combat skills are RBJ but you're definitely the Gorgeous George of the forum./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Actually, the only way I could beat 4 aces with the K4 is to keep sucking them into a spiral climb, ans make them use all their ammo. Then pick them off as they run away. It's lame, and a better pilot wouldn't have to do that.

on his White Porcelain Throne, dreaming of the ways he can enhance his reputation as Ace of Forum Clowns.

If you going to claim to be an ace and wind up a community, then at least provide evidence. In real life aces needed evidence (well most of them did). Some people here with very high post-counts have been calling you out. Compared to them you are the jockey-***-lately.

As for being the ace of aces, as only 5% of people play online that means there are 95% of players (myself included) out there who you have never fought against and never beaten (consistenly), and for all you know could beat your butt through every room of your castle and out your back passage.

Look up the story of the little boy who cried "Wolf". After a time no-one believed him either....then when he tried to prove it was true he got killed.

If you are not the ace-of-aces, then it might be a good time to 'fess up and move on to being a contributing member of this forum, not the Ace of Aceholes. A bigger man admits when he's wrong.

Very true.

I can't consider shooting down AI to be a measure of anything, given the AI's lousy condition at present. I'm not refering to tactics here but superiour FM, gunnery, etc. Try getting on the six of an ace La7 and watching the evasion tactics. Certain manuvers exhibited involving roll rate and near stall conditions do not seem possible in the player's La7. This is bad enough in itself, but I then must ask how well would the current AI dogfight tactics hold together without these advantages?

The following is from memory, forgive me if I err...

I read in a recent post about patch a passage concerning the nature of AI aircraft handling during a dogfight. A frequent report was that enemy aircraft could be placed in a violent and uncontrolled stall/spin while they are under attack. Could this be an indicator that the AI was using the manuver tactics (which work with their current FM), and immediatly faltering under the new AI FM code?

Consider, at present firing at an enemy La7 from .35 or less range will often result in a quick quarter roll to the left, then a hard jink. The rate of roll and jink shown I'm not positive can be performed on the player's La7. This manuver seems to happen at the moment the triggers are pressed, as though the AI can see the trigger press command. With the different AI FM shown at the version of patch reported on, it would seem that the AI is inputting the same control movements as now, but is being surprised by the new AI FM.

Anyway, I just wondered about this. If the patch report was refering to AI behaviour (and I do note, INCOMPLETE patch!), it must be pointed out that no competent pilot would deliberatly exceed the limits of his plane, jepardizing his life. An ace never would in common circumstances.

Indeed. Makes you wonder if RBF isn't catrix in disguise, his way of getting back at the locals!

And I remember when RBF said the animated sig (back in the day of unlimited sig's) was him testing a force feedback chair....he's a clown alright got to be loving the attention, and the irony of why this thread is still alive, and others get locked....

maybe if someone said "france" in context with a body function or mention drop tested french firearms it would get locked.;}

RBJ, go back through all my posts on this forum and see where I ever say that I am an ace. See if you can find where I said a person who plays offline can beat someone who plays online (and vice-versa). When you find that claim it'll be the day Satan iceskates to work. Don't distort what other people say.

If you think you are so good, where is your proof, & more importantly why do you feel the need to try to convince everyone else when they don't care anyway? I'm sorry but you appear to have mistaken me (and others) for someone who gives a **it. I don't care whether you think your Mother Teresa, Ronald Reagan, Bobo the Clown or RBJ, my point has been and always will be that if you can't back up your claims with evidence and justify/be responsible for your actions, then you are not a person to be trusted or believed.

Conclusion: Do humanity a favour and kill yourself RBJ.

For the rest of you, here's a novel idea. Let's ignore this pathetically miserable little w***ker called RBJ and just concentrate of FB instead. He clearly thrives on attempting to justify his life and ego, and this supposedly amusing little charade he calls his life (all 2,000+ postings of it) is distracting this community from doing something worthwhile (like playing FB).

?? Honestly, the Cessna is like driving a tractor, it's controls are heavy and it's almost non-responsive to inputs, it can't stall, unless you really, really, really want it to, then it only does something like lowering the nose slightly and laughing to your face, some versions have an autopilot but it's not needed due to it's overmodelled stability, a real point to point under/overmodelled aircraft.

Oh yeah, the famous 1200 RPM stall in a C150?

Placed the throttle on 1200 rpm, then pulled back the yoke to stall the thing, as speed lowered the left wing began to dip, I applied right rudder in an attempt to keep the wing up and then we hit stall speed.......... I nearly wetted my pants.... never seen an aircraft doing a "flipover" to the right so quickly.

And this was done first time on my licence checkout with the CAA-"controller", I really thought I did something wrong until he explained that it was a typical Cessna behaviour. All he was looking for was if I applied left rudder to recover.... And I did/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

You see, during WW2, They had a system for this kind of thing. Pilots would go out, and say "Gee, I shot down 20 of those damn Germans", to which of course everyone would reply: "Where's the proof?". So every kill needed to be confirmed by a wingman or a member of your flight. Although that was something of a flawed system, seeing as most pilots are trying to watch what they're doing, rather than keeping an eye on the other pilots in the dogfights. So what did they do? They put cameras in the planes that record when the triggers are held down, and stop recording when released (to conserve the limited amount of film). So that when a pilot comes back from a mission and starts to regale his squadron on how he shot down which planes, when, and how, he's got proof - be it a friend of his that flew with him saying "Damn, that was some great flying, I've never seen planes get shot down that fast" or be it footage of that actual dogfight. Hell, if they could figure it out in the 1940's, what seems to be your problem Ray?

RBJ you are so full of the brown smelly stuff!

Your sad self-promotion in being an 'Ace' is quite embarrasing. It was funny, but when you've heard the same joke so many times over and over... Well... It just aint funny anymore.

Online track recording does not cause lag, plain and simple. Maybe it does if you're running a Pentium 233, but who does these days? Any entry level PC with a half decent graphics card is more than adequate to run FB and record tracks, which doesn't incidentally cause oodles of HDD activity and track files for a game that lasts hours doesn't take up that much HDD space (between 5-20MB depending).
Yer a yellow belly! You won't show us one of your online battles because yer yellow. A Second rate wannabe who lives off trolling.
All you ask for is attention and you get it because you annoy people with your claims.
I don't think I've ever met you online, because you're never around. I've flown servers on HL, UBI and All-seeing Eye so I don't know where else you'd be hiding. If I did meet you in the air, well... you wouldn't be in the air for long /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif )
I'm sure you get off on the reaction you get from everybody. You've been told by the developers countless times that you can't have your old insta-trim. You have said that your RBJ shift cheat modification exploit whatever it is gives you the ability to bat-turn (bats do bat-turns, planes corner), but you still keep hindering Oleg
Come on! Upload a track so we can all have a laugh at your 'Ace' status. I need a good laugh.
...oh and I bet you team-kill in First-Person shooters to get a reaction too

Are you sure you are ready for that kind of commitment?
You're parents may not be keen on you getting hitched to a unibrow.............................hmm....good point. but worth the risk just to see if hes got ability or not

Right about now your thinking to yourself IS he an Ace or isnt he an Ace? well you just gotta ask yourself one question...do ya feel lucky? ...well do ya... I have done the necessary minimal research in order to fly at a continued high level in FB, although "high" is not good enough for me. I bide my time playing SWG and waiting for the patch. Going online now is just a waste of time. I might get around to doing that thing Loco-s was talking about but if it tried to change my browser to NetScape, then no way.

Secretly I have yearned to show you all some ace footage (online, of course) because after all, it's the ultimate, right? Just don't cry when I turn the cockpit off. I will only show cockpit footage by special request (don't want to give away all my secrets).

As far as offline tracks, how would you guys know if I had invincibility on? (or FM, etc) Is posting an offline track just a waste? (b/c AI sucks and no settings indication)

"The Force is strong with this one." -What an ace said of RayBanJockey during a fight when he was still a newbie.

Ray..I cant believe you are so Dull, I never told you to change your browser to netscape, let me rephrase:

when you create a webpage, you are still using your browser, nothing changes

a webpage is like a website you create, its outside your computer, is like typing :www.il2sturmovik.com"

when you come to this website you are not changing your browser to "www.il2sturmovik.com" you still are using you whatever you use to surf the net.

regarding to your silly comment:
-"As far as offline tracks, how would you guys know if
- I had invincibility on? (or FM, etc) Is posting an
- offline track just a waste? (b/c AI sucks and no
- settings indication) "
-

you can see the settings before starting the track ( something an "Uber ace" ( har har /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ) like you should have noticed in his "masterful test flying and pushing the envelope of the program")

you should know too that when watching the tracks the default is Cockpit on...surprising you dont know that ( not really...it happens to all the noobs )

now stop putting your head between your gluteus maximus and show off whatever you want, we will watch and evaluate if you are what you claim to be or the normal fraud you appear to be.

I would bet anything that some of you people lay awake at night, thinking about how much you hate RayBanJockey.

There you lay, fists clenched, thinking about his posts.

He seems to make many of you very angry, but never seems to get rattled himself.

Too funny.

Why do people think we hate Ray? he's not real so why would we get angry, and he is a funny guy also it's not such a bad way to deflect all the negative post about a patch.

I wonder who he really is a mod maybe or a retired mod it's very hard to say but no real person can be so full of BS

RBJ is a persona created by one or two members of the oinkers, some suspected it might be HD but considering his real life commitments thats unlikely.

My guess is that RBJ is a combination of two piggies.. one we havent seen for awhile 'you nice?', and one who owns more than one moniter ;P
