It looks like a very good setup for competitive team play.

Any player that is not part of the team can ruin the event for that team.

This looks fantastic to me.

Bump.

I have this scenario running on hyperlobby (server name is FighterJerks) but there is only one mission available and air-kills are not currently counted.

If I get time tonight, I'll swap the current mission with one that is historical (1943 Kuban).

I won't be able to count air-kills for several days (still rewriting the server controll app).

Seems like a reasonable hurtle to cross, assuming the server isn't loaded with aces. If so, we new online players would never see the map. Landing isn't a problem for me...getting my wings shot off, that's a problem.

If the team wanted to win then they would be forced to help out everyone on their team.

I think that is the reasoning behind the scoring system.

I could be wrong of course.

About Aces:

If they are racking up kills, and have not fullfilled thier mission requirements, their team can not win. When the other team wins, the loosing team will loose an airfield, which may cause them to loose certain planes also (not cool!)

I'm hoping to foster a feeling of coop-play, while doing away with all the waiting involved in coops. Hopefully, with a greater goal to be achieved, players will work more closely together.

How are you doing the accounting? I didn't know that FBDaemon supported this?

FBMC does though.

Though, with that system, a lone asshat can also screw up the game for the whole team - by refusing to get a kill. Although now that I think of it, I don't think these asshats can resist the temptation http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
