The third part of the interview is in fact from the second session €" an after war training flight experience, where he has almost lost his life, in an inverted spin.

We have added pictures we got from Boris, from post war era to his Mig 15/17 flying days.

wow what a great read. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
I gotta admit I'V always wanted to see a WWII vet have a play on IL-2 to see there response would be.
Amazing to read the effect it had on the old fella straight away and how he suddenly didnt seem old at all when he got into a (virtual) cockpit.

Would loved to have been there.

So Yaks really were normal planes, and they do respond to rudder inputs. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

I like the part where he knocked the guy strongly in the head to get him to release controls. Gimme back the plane noob! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Interesting read. I went back to the second part and couldn't help but relate the same experience I had watching an old hellcat pilot I know transform into a 20 year old again before my eyes as he watched a hellcat fly and stood around it admiring a fighter he once knew.
