Good day to all Assassin's Creed owners in this forum. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Now as we all now, this is one cool and exciting historical game with many twists. Getting to the point, most of you in this game sometimes die veeeeeeeery rarely. So, post how many times did you die and how did you die.

Me: twice

1. In poor district in Dammascus, after synchorizing from a view point, I jumped to the left instead of doing a leap of faith http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif
2. The other part is where I was facing two templars and 8 Acre soldiers.....

Thanks and have fun http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I died a few times - cant remember them now.

There's always the annoying "can I swim?" test that we all have to try sometimes!

(btw, I hate to be annoying but you cant die in this game cos Altair doesn't die in the time scale we view - you can only desynchronise)

mak93!!!!

I love you!!!!

You are bringing the forum back from the grave!!!!

omg, let me try...

I died after jumping off the Acre cathedral (in the wrong direction)

Not really dying, but I overkilled some innocents in my first playthrough and got desynced.

Hm... I fell into the 5 foot deep water in the acre port a few times during Sibrand's Assassination. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

That stupid evil blue liquid.

I died alot of times...
If I saw a ledge that I probably couldn't reach, I obviously had to try anyway. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Ugh, the only time I die is when I fall in the water. Damn you and your hydrophobia Altair http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

lol has anyone ever seen the group of Templars who walk on the docks and bump into a person, and they fall into the water, drowning? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Makes me laugh all the time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

lmao, I know what you are talknig about!! That is too funny!!

Once a thug started drowning and everyone just watched untill he died and then just walked away calmly.

But another time a person falls into the water and everyone goes insane and starts screaming and running around, and then one guy runs into the water and drowns too!!

lmao, stupid NPCs...

I died a few times before the *SPOILERS AHOY* AlMuallim fight, where you fight with all those supped up assassins. I kept dying until I decided to use nothing but my hidden blade... ironically... *SPOILERS OVERBOARD*

I also died a couple of time jumping off of the highest tower in the fort of Montferrat, I enjoyed abusing the already horrible ragdoll physics by tossing Alty onto the cliff. ^_^

Forgive me if I seem to analytical here.

You ask us how many times we have died in the game

Are you asking us the entire game of AC, or per mission or during 1 sitting? Because honestly who on EARTH is gonna memorize or count the number of deaths from the second you open up the wrapper on your game case and put it into the drive until you take the game out of the drive after defeating the game?

Anyways if you must know my number:

TOO MANY lol

Whole game, since AC is so easy that you rarely die.

I jumped the wrong way from the highest view point in acre.

And of course I fell into the water a couple of times.

I'm an inept goldfish. I died thirty times from misjudging jumps, losing fights, and being unable to swim...

ummm, about 3 times in sibrand mission because altiar decided to jump into water (even tho he knows he can't swim) than the post 2 foot in front of him. a couple of leap of faiths gone wrong, only died once in combat.. after the first assassination... i was new and overhwelmed by no. of guards after me tried to atack instead of run. but yeah i like this game cuase u hardly ever de-sync but it still a difficult game in parts.

Yes. Especially at the funeral where all of the guards jump you.

I once tried to gently push a person out of my way and accidentally pushed him off a pier in Acre. Turned out for the best, though, as I didn't kill him directly, according to, err... The laws of DNA memory, so I didn't desynchronise, but his floating carcass did draw all the guards away from the docks, making it easier for me to hop from pole to pole like a rabid Mario without being nagged on by nosy guards.

As for how I've died - plenty of different ways. Tried to swim once and got un-gently hurled into water by guards. Did the leap of faith in the wrong direction onto cobble stones a few times, too. Also did the "No, Altair, I meant hop down onto the ledge underneath you, not to your death 100 feet down on the street, you silly!" Got slaughtered by guards more than a few times while figuring the game out. It really pisses me off when they throw me off a building. You do NOT throw me off a building, I throw YOU off a building! So I tended to stand and fight a lot.

Got killed by random Templars, guarding their unopenable chests so many times it's not even funny. I think my brain developed a fold specifically for hating Templars, which made killing them when I finally had all my gear back especially fulfilling. Even more so when I could counter-assassinate them to their faces. The hidden blade may suck for combat, but at least it pops their heads with a single application, instead of having to bang the seven bells out of them in regular combat or kicking them on the arse until it folds inwards.

Dumbest way I've died? I thing I once dodge off a high building with little health left. Being hurled into water "hurts" the most, though.

wow how do manage to mess up a leap o faith i havent yet... and i'm accident prone in video games like halo 3 a tire from a mongoose went flying and took my head off and in AC i just died of the gaurds who find rocks and i saw 10 rocks hit me b4 i hit the ground and died..

Some times even when jumping in the right direction from the synchronization point it doesn't detect the hay and I end up doing a normal jump and die.
Also when I get fancy about switch-blade counter-kills and miss a lot. I keep the health-bar turned off so some times when I find myself low on health it's too late to do anything.
I also must have drowned at least 40 times.

Hmmmm, quite a few deaths for me, mainly :

1. Trying to jump from post to post in Acre docks. That really gets on my nerves cos it happens when i'm directly facing em and then altair, who knows he can't swim, jumps to the side and drowns! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

2. Misjudging leaps of faith. Self-explanatory (and messy).

3. Being pushed into the water at acre docks by the damn drunk sailors! Sometimes I go out of my way to kill them, even if I can get past them easily. You'd think they'd get the message after I desynced twice on a drunk-sailor killing spree.

Also a weird one, I was climbing a building above one of those merchant stalls which are part of buildings (the ones you cant jump through) and a guard knocked me off the wall with a rock. I kinda fell into the stall and I couldn't move, so I just had to stand there and watch as the guards converted the stall into an open-air butcher's http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

That said, there aren't really too many ways to die on AC. Drowned, dead from a fall, minced by guards and...erm... any I've missed out? Oh well, it doesn't detract from the fun anyway.

A little off topic here, has anyone else noticed altair can die from a fall but if he survives a fall with say 1 sync bar left he doesnt even break any bones, when an extra meter or so would kill him?

Yet another off-topic bit (I'm rambling, so this is the last point) how come guards and sometimes civilians are nearly as acrobatic as altair? At the docks in acre when i killed someone all the nearby civilians started jumping along the posts in the sea without so much as a slight stumble, even the fat thugs, and when I try it, I always fall off, even with half a minute of camera and character alignment?

Well, obviously I fell into the water :P

But there was another time, I think it was during the Tamir assassination, I was running around, ran into a Templar in an alley. I had no idea how to fight, and got wtfpwned.
