I'm building a new system for my dad and I'm a bit out of the loop with the latest speaker systems (I've been happily using my klipsh promedia 4.1 for over four years now). So let's hear it, what are some of the best 5.1 systems? Trying to keep it under $200..<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I bought a Logitech 5.1 system a couple of weeks back and it is an improvement over my RFT stereo.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I've got Altec-Lansing,and it literally sounds better than a 100W Sony home stereo system. Here's to you Altec: http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Lyrics from Naked Raygun's "Rat Patrol".
"What we need to take control,we could use the Rat Patrol. What's that coming over the dune?...
Chasing the halftracks across the sandflats, got a nice pine box,for that desert fox, machine guns blaring, and Arabs staring wondering why,the Westerners are there. It's the same old story, and it'll happen again."

I found that the sound reproduction and comfort of the Sennheiser PC150 left something to be desired and sent them back. I am still looking for something good but cheaper than the boom mic equipped version of the Beyer Dynamic DT100.

hi all
i am playing this wonderfull game for 2 years now and i am still enjoying every inute of it .
currently playing 404m but was thinking of buying the 405m.
now i saw on top of this forum the sticky post about 1946 and 406 , 407. what is that , the 405 patched , or a whole new addon sort of thing ?
i also saw a list of cpu recommended valeus.
my q is'; is my cpu ready for olegs future?
i own a notebook hp pavilion zd 8000[zd8185ea] , 100g hd , 1024ram , intel 4 3600ghz , ati x 600. it has been incredible fast compared to me mates cpu's and running any game on the marked so far but that is bound to end someday ofcourse.
is this enough for the newer versions of this game i've been reading about ?thanks in advance daswift1 , always on the go

For the money I do not think you can beat "Klipsch", but their 5.1 system is a bit beyond your price requirement. I have a set and cannot be in the room with it turned up past halfway http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I could of course search the forum but since I'm lazy and this thread's here anyway (hey! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif) : What kind of rig will run SoW?
Will my Core2Duo/7600GT rig cut it?

The whole world waits with baited breath.

Newegg.com will crash the day after those stats are released when everyone here goes to order parts for their SoW:BoB rigs. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
