I'm thinking of buying a new graph card since my current one, RADEON 9200 are not good enought for FB+AEP+PF.
Which Graph card out there can you recommend for me who works the best for flight sims?
My minimum spend budget is 150 dollars.

Radeon 9800 Pro gives nice price to performance ratio. You can not play it with 'perfect' settings though.

Yes you can! I am doing it at Perfect, 1024x768, 4xAA and 4xAF and get terrific framerates. Doom 3 and FarCry runs like cream. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

Stencil Buffer

I run it in "perfect" with no trouble.

I do. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I'm running mine at 1024x768, 4xAA, 2xAF and Water=0.
Averages about 32fps in Blackdeath.

I have a LONELY ATI 9800 pro 128 MB sitting here with nothing to do. HINT HINT
It's certainly doing me no good at the moment.

(Bought a 6800GT.....needed a bit of a boost for video editing)

I have a BFG Geforce 6800GT, is that the same brand you have? Also, what speeds/settings are you using? My temp level is averaging 58C at IDLE, so I'm a little cautious about boosting it up...

Clock speed is 401 mhz
memory clock is 1.10 mhz

temp at idle is 54 I have 2 monitors so I can watch temps never goes above 68 but I have a water cooled case with 2 fans running across video card , butt should be fine because the card isnt water cooled.

If you can talk youself into waiting until the beginning of the next quarter traditionally every spring there is a rather nice drop price wise in the current crop of latest and greatest as they makeway for the next coming thing.

I just bought a geforce 6600 gt card for $230 with a $30. mail in rebate.

It's set at 500mhz and 900 memory. It's and agp card. I've got it running at 540-1100. without any problems so far.When i went up to 550mhz and 1000 I saw artifacts, but no problems with the memory set at 1100 though.

My system is a

amd 2500+ xp athlon
win xp
geforce 6600 gt
driver 66.93
audigy 2 zs
viewsonic 19"
res 1024 X 768

I run game in perfect settings with

water=2
effects=2

It's holding 33fps. every where with few exceptions it drops to 26-28 but very playable.

I had it set on excellent fps was 75-80 with no AA or antiso. with this low end PC it though was pretty good.

I have it set at High quality and 2Q AA also.

Man it makes this game look so awesome. I just could believe my eyes.

was playing on a geforce 4 ti 4200 64mb card before which was no slouch. but couldn't do any AA with it and the graphics were a bit poor compared to this card.

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I've even got waves slaping up onto the beachs now WOW what a game. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Perfect is no problem for my 9600 pro either. Death track on perfect, 1152*864*32@85hz is average above 25 fps. I did the ati dll trick mentioned on this forum, have the second latest ati driver on 3.03m. No aa or af though.

Post above: ment the black death track. With pf I prefer perfect without aa and af to excellent with aa and af. With a 9600 pro you cant get both, but I thought you could with a 9800 pro or above?
