In this interview they talk to one of the voice actors from AC2. The information at the top of page 2 is particularly interesting. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

OMG. WOW.

This is a massive breakthrough, he is talking about a historian for Desmond?

:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O NO WAIII http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: On a calmer note, this is saying that Desmond has a historian, telling him all about the Italian way of life, etc etc? Indicating maybe extra parts of Abstergo etc?

Great find http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif . This could probably be posted in the video thread since all the important interviews seem to be put there http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ezio now has a Historian? I dobut that guy is working with the templars...

I think that's a signature that Desmond will work with the Assassins/on his own.

I was waiting for somebody to say this.
It says Desmond will be working with him. I don't doubt that Abstergo has it's own historians but there isn't any reason for them to be working with Desmond. Vidic and Lucy handled it just fine in the first. If he's working with Desmond that must mean that somebody other than Abstergo is using Desmond in the animus.

Couldn't agree more.

Oh my oh my is this an accidental find or a intentional leak?

That's ripped a massive hole in the "still working with templars?" question.

SO FRIGGIN EXCITED!

Well, I wouldn't put all my money on it yet, Ubi has great minds and it could be just a trick to foul us to think Desmond is now working with others.

On the leaking things, I doubt it, since Ubi posted the link on the News section of ACII, and if it was an accidental find, they would have told that site to remove the interview.

we knew Desmond would geto do more stuff and so in ac2, so this doesent seem like a leek or whatever. a historian makes sense, could be working for the themplars or not...

i hope its some guy living in a shady little apartment in the bad part of the city wich des will have to track down.....

that sounds like mroe then des will be doing in the game tho... but could have been fun x] but he wouldnt reqally need an historian tht much if he wasnt still using the animus, so propably just another guy in the whole abstergo pplace...

oh well, those are my thougths

assassin invasian of abstergo, all the templars gotta relocate, an all the assassins can learn skills for their ancestors in the past and become über assassins yay!,,, ook not that i want tht reeeally!

The Historian is mentioned in AC1 in the email about subject 16

Warren:
I've finished my report on Subject Sixteen. You should take a look when you have some time as I believe it validates my belief that we need to be treating them with greater care. Failure to do so will only result in further breakdowns.

I'll summarize things for now since I realize you're probably pretty busy. Prolonged exposure to the Animus caused a 'Bleeding Effect' within Subject Sixteen's genetic structure. The result was a blending of genetic and real-time memory. He became unable to distinguish his own life from those of his ancestors, as witnessed with the incident in his room.

I believe this effect is very similar to certain forms of multiple personality and delusional disorders. People who claim to be experiencing past lives or the presence of other minds within their own are quite possibly experiencing a naturally occurring version of this Bleeding Effect. Though the specific symptoms may vary from subject to subject, the end result is the same: they lose their minds.

This is what I believe happened to Subject Sixteen. One of his ancestors seems to have been involved in an important event in the ancient Far East. The wall writing he left us defy any conventional explanation, though I'm not ready to dismiss them just yet. Per your request, I've asked for a linguist and historian to research them further in case there is some significance.I'll let you know if they come back to us with anything.

I'll get you a full copy of the report so that you can review my findings when you have the time. I know this is not that important to you Warren, but it would mean a lot to me if you'd just take a look and think about it. We don't need to push them so hard. We don't need to kill them. From a purely practical perspective, there's no point in destroying the subjects anyway. Once they're dead, their knowledge is lost to us forever. And we both know how dangerous that can be.

Thanks for your time!

- Lucy

"I thought he was just a bog standard nerd, but turns out no, he has got a darker side, which is cool."

I think our historian fellow might be a traitor on the assassin side. Decendant of the traitor from Masayaf?

Double betrayl? First Lucy betrays the templars and now this guy betrays the assassins?

If that happens, I swear to god I'll trust noone in ACIII http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

What if his voice is just like the woman in AC1 who gives you handy hints when loading up, such as "climbing ladders is a socially acceptable way to reach rooftops", you know that woman!!
