Bill Threlfall, a tennis commentator who was still doing live broadcasts right up to his death at 81 died this week.

He was a Barracuda pilot during the war.

Bill also met Wren Anne Rivaz who he describes as the most beautiful girl in the world. Even his marriage proposal reveals a glimpse of a brilliant young pilot: he took her flying in five different aircraft culminating in an old Meteor with just enough room for two:

"I turned it upside down and said: "Will you marry me?"And she said "Yes - anything to get this thing the right way up!" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
