See what kind of Military Aircraft you should be.

What military aircraft are you? (http://www.youthink.com/quiz.asp?action=take&quiz_id=983)

B-52 Stratofortress

You're a B-52. You are old and wise, and you absolutely love destruction. You believe in the principle of "peace through deterrence" and aren't afraid to throw your weight around.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Hey all, it was a spectacular view of the night launch. Unfortunately, the pictures didn't turn out as good as I had hoped (I need a tripod) but here are two of the better ones. First one is a few seconds after liftoff where it appears on the horizon. The second is roughly 20-30 seconds after liftoff.

Cool,how far away were you?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I watched it live on cnn pipeline, good show but not as good as from Titusville I bet, or from the area anyway. I watched a launch once from there.
You know, I will be glad when they just take the remaining shuttles and just put them in museums. They should return to cylindrical space craft, and keep it that way for a long time.

Didn't the Endeavor 'rendezvous' with a cylindrical space craft a while back...?

I'm in Virginia and I saw it too. It appeared in the sky about 5 minutes after liftoff, it was only about 15 degrees above my horizon and it disappeared quickly, but I did see it as it rocketed into orbit. It looked like Jupiter, only brighter and moving really fast.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Too bad, we can't hear them from where we are here, about 70 to 80 miles as the crow flies from Cape Canaveral. Besides, last night as soon as the sky lit up you could hear people all around the neighbourhood cheering lol.
They were saying it could be seen all along the US coast, that is some distance to see it in Virginia!
I didn't know it was Sweden's first person in space, congratulations Sweden. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
