Hi folks.

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the 9 real people that the AC1 targets were based on. I've been able to find some info on Sibrand, Garnier, Jubair, Montferrat, and Robert, or at least find their names in lists of leaders in the Knights teutonic, templar, or hospitalier.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_V_of_Montferrat

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garnier_of_Nablus

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibn_Jubayr

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G...the_Teutonic_Knights (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Masters_of_the_Teutonic_Knights)

But I haven't found anything on Majd Addin, Talal, Abul Nuqoud, or Tamir. Does anyone now anything?

nope and i guess those are fictional characters. it is still a game and not 100% historical correct as the devolopers mentioned it, also in AC2

The devs also mentioned that every single assassination target in the first game lived during the period the game is set and dies under circumstances in which assassins were rumoured to be involved.

I've seen info a while back which referenced all the ones you haven't found, except one - I think it was Talal - and showed them to be in at least a similar place in society to where the game showed them.

I'm not sured about William Of Montferrat. As if I recall right, it was his son Conrad that was killed by the Assassins.

There have been rumours the assassins were involved in his death too. Even if he wasn't, the rumours are enough.

what i once read was that, the assassination target were old when they actually died...
They died near 1191 but they were elders at that time...
anyway everything is justified by the animus...
all we know is a lie created by the templars...

remember... Nothing is true everything is permited...

Dangit. I know that Ubi said that every target was based on a real historical person, but I guess no one can find anything on the 4 I'm missing.

Oh well.

I mentioned I've seen references for all but one, I'll keep trying to track down an online source about them for you. Will post here if I get it soon.

Unfortunately, I'm working, so not much free time, but I'll see what I can do.

Well, we know the assassination target in the demo is one of the targets in the game and he sure wasn't in his mid-20's.

Sorry I misunderstood, but two guys that are confirmed to be Ezio's friends are da Vinci and Machiavelli. Historically da Vinci would be 34 in 1486 and Machiavelli would be 17. If anything they would need to make Machiavelli older.

oh...well Jade Raymond said tht the ages of pple would be altered so Ezio is hangin out with pple of his age (25)

Technically, only robert de sable was definitely a templar in real life. There's no real-world connection between any other target and the templars.

I'm just looking for ANY historical info on the characters they were based on, and as far as I know, they ALL were based on someone real.

...And in the game, they ALL were templars :P
