I've indulged nearly all my flight-sim hobby requirements and, combined, they're still all cheaper than golf...which I still do as well.

Wanna spend some money, REAL MONEY, try real airplanes.

Yes I am talking about those two 10mm bolts about 25mm in length.

I got an extra to put in the tool box.

Try explaining this bill to your wife while you hold up 3 tiny bolts in the palm of your hand.

BTW, those bolts do not come with the washer like crushable gaskets either!

Last year I spent 2,700 Australian dollars to fly to Acre, Brasil to study capoeira, which is one of my other hobbies apart from flight simming.

I also just blew 3,499 Australian on a bicycle, as well as about another 500 on accessories, for my other hobby, which is triathlon. And I just coughed up another 180 for my race fees this morning.

Flight simming is cheap http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I know where you are coming from with the bolts for your airplane. That is why I almost completely stopped flying full-scale and took up R/C planes. Last week I flew full-scale for 2 hours and is cost me $70.00 in fuel. I can't see doing that for much longer its too expensive for me.

Heck, I almost forgot about fishing. I have 3 custom rods/reels and a couple tackleboxes with as much money invested as my stupid pc and controllers...much less the hole in the water in which I throw my money called...a boat. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I just say that to say this. About 5 years ago, I initiated a (relatively speaking) huge campaign to get CH, Thrustmaster, Saitek or anyone that would listen to make left-handed, high-end controllers. I even stated that I would pay "good money" if someone had the werewithall to make some for me which is ultimately what I did thanks to Homeboy (see here: http://snomhf.exofire.net/ )

This is in no way bragging, but I have a custom CH Fighterstick + throttle combination that I have a total of...$600 invested in to make them perfect for me. $120 ea to purchase, $180 to customize to lefty and another $180 to have the custom throttle further customized into a Franken-potato. Every penny was worth it. So much so, that I've been tempted to have a complete second set made as backups.

So, if the perfect controller were to come down the pipe, I'd find a way to budget for it...be sure. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Gentlemen, I really appreciate all the input here. But where I'd really like to see it, is at, the Hangar. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
