You usually gain credit by typing in coherent paragraphs and not using capital letters for your entire message.

Yes definately important issue but others will find it hard to take you seriously with such behavior. There is generally an unwritten netedicate that prevades communities and boards - using all capital leters LIKE THIS is generally not acceptable for anything more than a few words.

Apparently this cheat isn't new and has been around for a long time...and apparently its easy to prevent and its due largely to server settings. Not sure if thats the full solution or not but there's already a topic floating about.

Just so no one is duped, speed hack does NOT work in IL-2 or FB.

I have tried 4 speed hack programs, and none of them work online. The moment you enable speed hack online, you get kicked from the server.

OLEGS ANTI-HACK OWNZ ALL U GHEY HAXORZ!!!!

To answer the original question the server host must set up max lag parameters in the conf.ini to work properly. Most hosts overlook this and enable a very small amount of people to use these types of things unintentionally.

It is a known issue fixed in the original IL2 but sometimes ignored by hosts to enable the feature and set strict parameters.

Sorry to say this Hunter but I've seen it working on hardest lag settings and there was no problem. The only thing you have to worry is that you have to apply it for less than 8-10 secs each time but still this is enough to outturn and outrun everyone. Not to mention that you can use it every itme with a small stop and then apply it again. I mean: apply speedhack for 7 secs - stop - apply speedhack for 7 secs - stop -etc...

Guys, there is no way to stop this cheat. At least not any known to the community way.

Whoever doubt this they jut haven't seen it working perfectly at any hard max. lag. settings.

Sorry to say this but as I already told in aother post That's the end of IL2/FB as we know it.

Oleg must either find a way to fight this or start thinking a different structure for the BoB coming cause if it's vulnerable to this hak too then it's already a fail product http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.

Yes I am very dissapointed...this hack could ruin evrything. Many of us have flown IL2 and FB from the beginning (2 years )and now the cheats will make the end of competition and challenging flying.
Yesterday I flew VEF mission and was on 6 of one enemy... he didnt try to role with his plane or to do any other evasive manever. He just accelerated from time to time to not be so obvious. Then I could be over suspicious that he used hack or it was just lag or any other connection problems. How could I know. It is very sad that cheating is so tempting that in a desperate situation almoust evryone could use it.

Better dead with honour than alive cheater...

Honestly, try some grammar and punctiation classes. They do wonders for people here in California. Assuming (to my folly I assume) that you're capable of sitting down and paying attention for even 3 hours a day, 4 days a week, for 8 weeks... I think you could get the hang of this "Typing" and or "Speaking" jazz.

Best wishes.

Apparently (I read this in another thread on the SimHQ board, confirm or refute it yourself, I have no proof this is accurate or not)....

There is a server setting in one of the .config files that has a toggle setting for "time agreement". If you toggle it to 1 or "on", it will autokick anybody whose timing doesn't agree with the server. SpeedHack use will trip this feature.

End of problem, it would seem. This hack is only possible on servers where the host has not enabled the timing sync setting.

Well, I'm the last one to believe any hype but i can assure you people that it is real and it does work. We had a demonstration in HL on Tuesday evening (by FZG) and about 20 of us (from FZG, PE, 312 cs. fs. and 335 GR) could see that:

a) it is possible to use the speedhack in FB.

b) it is possible to use it and not get kicked as long as you're not too greedy (i.e. if you have moderate speed gain setting and if you don't use it too often and too long).

c) if you're smart and use it moderately it's very likely that it cannot be proven while reviewing the track, because it looks that you've only lagged for a couple of seconds and that's it.

d) The log doesn't show anything if you didn't get disco'd. Chatlog only shows a slight indication of using speedhack if you did eventually get disco'd.

e) setting aggressive server settings throws the baby out with the water-everybody who gets even a little lag gets kicked out, so you basically discriminate dial-up users that way. I'm hosting games on 512/128 cable and I'll check all the nuances of hosting settings and report back.

The problem is real and I hope Oleg can do something about it.

Have a nice day.

He Tigar u forgot me in ur counting http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

.... yea, it works fine at any hosts and at any opponent and even if u set the hardest autokick settings......

But since this cheat is public and Cheater know how they could be catched..... i didn´t see any "I´m in ur six warps!"...... perhaps that´s are the good news http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Suggestion, track every mission and if u know how the cheat works u will find the cheater, then contact his CO.

PS: BTW, 99% of online pilots doesnt cheat http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The more people talk about this in a public forum, the more people will be tempted to try out the hack. The dodmod.com forums have a strict no talk about cheating rule, specifically so any info on hacks wouldn't get out. I suggest these topics be kept private, but hey, do whatever you want.
