Howdy folks,

I just finished reading Samurai, by leading Japanese WW2 ace Saburo Sakai. In the book he frequently mentions that he always took his Lecia camera with him into combat and frequently took pictures. I have been searching around to try to see if the pictures he took have made it to the web. The closest I have been able to find is:

http://akiroom.com/redbook-e/k...kenkyukai201004.html (http://akiroom.com/redbook-e/kenkyukai10/kenkyukai201004.html)

Does anyone know of any online archive of the photos he took?

Cheers,

Stingray

Samurai was written by Martin Caidin. He used notes from Fred Saito who actually interviewed Sakai.
