I realize you may or may not do gametypes, i dont know much about the multiplayer, but ive shown alot of my friends this and we talked about it and this would be an amazing gametype. This is all mine, its the first thing that came to mind when i though of assasin's creed doing multiplayer http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif but yeah, here it is:

Multiplayer game mode name: Library Assistant.
General idea: A team of 3 or 4 people have been hired to steal 5 books from across the city and bring back to the employer. However this sounds like an easy task, a lone assasin has brought it upon himself to ruin the team. Will they get the books before they are picked off?

Gameplay idea: Assasin

Basically, everyone is dressed in civillian outfits, looking like everyone else on the street. But there are differences. Like the assasin, has a bulge somewhat on his wrist from the hidden blade, a dagger in his belt/shoe wherever, and maybe a sword. The opposing team has a protective dagger hidden somewhere that will help identify them. (they cant use it)So, you are the assasin. You start off on a building on the edge of the map, on the opposite side from the other team. On your minimap, you see 5 book icons, resembling what their objective is. You must protect these books at all costs. Also, you see a house icon, where their dropoff spot is. The dropoff may be a cart of hay, a person or a barrel, but you wont know, you will just be given a location close to the spot.
You may choose to guard one specific book, or maybe walk somewhat in the middle of them all. Keep in mind though, if the enemy team picks up a book, you will not be notified for 10 seconds, plenty of time to let the get a head start towards the drop off spot. Once a book has been picked up, the chase is on, you can walk carefully through the crowd, staying hidden for a while, or you could jump up onto a building and sprint, alerting a few civillians here and there, so they will point out and yell maybe. Or if youre in a rush, you could just run straight through the crowd, knocking people over and creating a big fuss, easily warning youre target that you are coming.
If you find him before he makes it to the drop off zone, you must kill him. You can easily just walk up behind him and stick a knife in his back, but he may see you. Anyway, once he is dead he will start somewhere near you as an assasin, with the same objective as you now. The book he had will respawn in a new, random location on the map. You have now eliminated one of 3 or 4 people, and must do the same for the rest.

Gameplay idea: Library assistants

^the only defense for the hired team is smoke bombs as of right now

You are part of a 3/4 man team, hired to retrieve 5 important books located across the map. Once acquired, you must drop them off at the marked zone on your map. The books you seek may be hidden in an alley, or *carried by a person, whom you must kill to retrieve the book from* (Dont know how this would turn out, sounds good to me though) Once you get the book, you will be given a ten second head-start before the assasin sent to kill you will be notified. He may already have seen (or heard, in the person carrying it's case) you take the book and is tailing you right now, so your death will come soon. Or he may be on rooftops, sprinting towards where the book once was, on the lookout for you. To avoid him, you could take advantage of the ten second head-start and start running for the drop off point, but this would scare the crowds on the street and alert the assasin to your presense. you could also take a few alleyway shortcuts, to arrive faster. Or you could be smart and just blend in with the crowd. But keep an ear out, the civillians may be talking about a weird man travelling by rooftop, or they could be screaming as a madman runs down the road. But you must try and make it to the drop off zone. If you dont, and are killed before that happens, you will become an assasin with the same intent as the one who killed you, to stop the others at all costs.

One round game, winners are determined by who assinated the most people, and who recovered the most amount of books. The team winners are determined by if the assasins killed all the hired retrievers or if the retrievers got the books before they were killed.
