Hey guys. One of my hobbies is whistling and singing. So I thought, give me your favorite old movie classics, musicals, anything from the 60's or 70's, something that can be readily sung and not blared by techno or something, and I'll sing with text for you guys in HL. maybe we could all do it?

Some of my favs:

Gene Kelly- Singing in the Rain
Mary Poppins- Just a Spoonful of Sugar
Pippin- No Time at All
Once Upon a Mattress- Opening for a Princess (I actually performed this one!)
Anything from the sound of Music (performed that one too!)

Post your favs and we can sing together using colored HL text!

Makes me think of a certain scene in a certain film. No not Gene Kelly dancing in the rain, but Malcolm McDowell excercising a bit of the old ultra violence in Clockwork Orange. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/icon_twisted.gif

Boosher.. who would you say you sound like? Do you play/write music on your own, or just a bit of fun? My style is more Chris Isaak than anything. A lot of crying whining sissy songs.

That Kubrick was a bit of a nut, be sure...but a great director nonetheless.

That's the kind of stuff I write on the keyboards, El Turo! lol

I have this thing that I can only write about things that I feel passionate about. Usually love songs or about a specific incident that I've experienced in life.

Now, get me on my drum kit and I'm a rocker through and through. I started playing keyboards about 15 years ago when I was not in a band at the time and got tired of drum solos. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Um, Boosher...I know you're young yet, but guys who like show tunes are not high on girl's lists of who to date. Just FYI. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

However, since you are taking requests...how about "Ya Gotta Have Heart" from Damn Yankees. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Everythin has been takin in! I'll get the lyrics. I'm usually on by 9:00-10:00 PM EST, so if you wanna get me singin, just ask! (I sound okay. Compared to some other people I know, I'm horrible, but I'm not a drain on the ears. It's not that bad."

Isn't there a rule about singing on the forum?

Singen in the forum,

twisting and turning,

trying to fight the bordom,

Jumping and falling,

this is madnes,
nothing but distress,

Man do I suck at this,
I know I wont be a mis.

This singing and whistling may have a demoralising effect on the lads.
So many positive inputs at one time cant be good.
I think that was why they forbidd the Finnish pilots to use the radio for singing and joking after a while. The civilians who had tuned in their sets started to request songs.
Also the enemy could be affected into doing the same, although they didnt have as many working radio sets.
