After finally getting to play multiplayer last night and thinking everything is fixed I have turned on my Xbox to find the update requiring installation again. And this time it say's it's failing to update and giving me the error code: 3143-0000-D080-0200-807B-0194
I am in the UK
I have a 60 gig white premium Xbox 360
Game installed.
Put in game and update was started only to fail with above status code.
Went to system and cleared cache but still same problem. Update #3 is missing from my hard drive.

Please will someone help me sort this out!

This is getting beyond a joke now and I'm seriously contemplating trading this game for Black Ops!!!!!!!

yep same here, I thought it was the DLC content, and now you get another status error message... checked it last night and it was fine, super quick searches for games and now this!

Hi there - the update should now be working correctly.

That 'error' code seems to point to a different problem than the 'looping update' though?

Since you do not get any error with that issue.


Please report it to Ubisoft Support directly so they can track the issue.

it says to test my connection... but my connection is always fine.

Also the update #3 has now been removed from my hard drive, and it has happened to a few others too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif whats going on.

My only advice is to contact Support.

At this time, it's only a this thread, so it may be a local problem to your region / console - so you need to contact support.

You could try Xbox Support as well, since it's a console error code.

maybe... I did try another game and got an update and it worked for that game, but not for Brotherhood! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif its a pain in the ^%^(

me too!!!Same error!!!I can't update the game!!!Hope they'll find a solution cuz my connection is fine!!I thought i was the only one to get this error but fortunately there are other people have it!!!Ciaoo a tutti from Italy!!!

With all due respect that was the first thing I did (by that I mean contact support). And my system is fine. This is the only game not working and I'm quite happily playing COD4 online while I wait.

Yes the multiplayer was working for me last night
turned my xbox 360 slim 250 GB HDD this morrning and went to play ac brotherhood
and i got the same message with the same code 3143 - <span class="ev_code_RED">0000</span> -D080 - 0200 -807B - 0194 well my 0's had four http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

OK everyone make misstakes its also happed to black ops!
i used ethernet and wireless and still the same problam

Same here. Worked fine this morning, after finally downloading the patch successfully, but after downloading the new DLC, I got this error. When I checked my hard drive, neither the patch or the new DLC were there. I've just submitted it to support.

Okay so now instead of installing the update and/or giving me an error message I'm being instantly disconnected from Xbox live when I put the game in. When I try to sign in it's asking me to test my connection which is fine outside of the game.

This advice is just my personal advice..


I have just deleted the update from my console to check if there is a new issue with the download.

it installed fine..


And you have checked you HDD and it has not installed the 'Title Update 3' at all?

If it has you can try deleting it - see if it's a corrupted download...


Other than that - I can only refer you to Ubisoft Support or Xbox Support.

same problem for me, it's very frustrating. I thought that micro$oft tested these patches before giving the go-ahead to go live?
I even tried the obvious and going onto xbox live/ support typing the error code in and guess what...NOTHING!! did'nt even recognise the code LMAO! I don't blame ubisoft i blame MS!

The issue you and the others are experiencing is a new and unique problem..

I have reported the issue, however that report is useless if you do not also report it directly to Ubisoft Support - since you can provide more info than I can gather from the forum...


Since you were having issues getting the update at first - that sounds like an Xbox Live problem, hence why I asked you to contact Xbox Support...

however, it's still important to contact Ubisoft Support - so they can find the cause of the issue.

Okay so I admit I'm probably reacting badly and apologize if anyone is offended by my comments but games are expensive for me and it goes to my head.

Hmm, I seem to be having a problem now also.

Although the update seems to have gone through, the game is automatically signing me off Live whenever I try and play it, and will not allow me to sign back on to Live whilst the game is on.

As soon as I go back to dashboard, though, it'll sign on.

I've tried clearing cache and re-installing update. Still doesn't work.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif I'm having problems too, was able to get on last night, the only problem was that my Profiles and Persona's all reset, but no biggy was able to fix that easily, However I turned on Xbox today, signed in to Xbox live with no problem and started into my game, thankfully no update loop started it just went straight into the game, but I was Signed out apparently along the way, went to play Multiplayer and it said I needed to Sign in to Xbox live, only problem with that is that it was showing up that I was already Signed in, so I clicked A anyway thinking there was a mistake and it said that it couldn't connect to Xbox live and I should test my connection, so I did but everything is fine with my connection, I double checked to make sure, so off I go to try and play multiplayer again and exactly the same thing happened http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif, I thought that maybe there was something wrong with the update then after all and cleared my Cache, same thing happened again, so I deleted the update and reinstalled it, yep .... same thing again http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

We are trying to help you - however like I keep saying, this is a new problem, others have no issue with the patch.

So I can't post 'we are aware of the issue and working on it' - since it may be a problem with your console or Xbox live, before all I know, it could be an Xbox Live account error - so it's important to report a problem to both supports, rather than ignore.

At the very least please contact Ubisoft Support - who may in turn contact Xbox on your behalf.

There really is no point or need to get angry at anyone on the forums, since the forums are not to blame.. However we do have rules that I do need to enforce..

So take a deep breath and try to calm down.

I have reported the issue, but please report it directly yourself - so that they have your full set up details etc.

I dont think its an UBI issue, its more with Microsoft! as it signs you out every time you go to multiplayer... also when you go to xbox.com the 2.0 is not there yet, but they have uploaded the trailer for it... I guess it will work once they upload the actual add-on for the game

Actually if you go to Marketplace, Game Add-ons, look for Assassins Creed Brotherhood in the A-Z listings, then click new, you will see that the 2.0 DLC is in fact listed for download, however when you try to download it there is an error, I assume because its not meant to be there yet as I checked Xbox.com and it isn't listed there http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

I have the same issue - signing out when I go onto the multiplayer menu.

My thoughts exactly. Its due sometime today. iIf i remember correctly, the trailer for the first DLC went up hours before the DLC was available to download.

Yep same problems here. Had a few hours this morning and I was mid-game strolling through Venice after some dirty little footpad, was literally about to unleash some slow-poison agony on him and I got boosted, getting asked to download the update...gutted. Can't sign in to XBL on ACB but XBL works fine with other stuff.

This is really ridiculous.... I'm 2 inches away from breaking this CD into half... somebody get this thing fixed already... I have never seen a crappier service.. get ur act together

I'm getting the problem of being disconnected from XBL as well. It's not a network problem at my end, because outside of ACB I can connect fine. It's just as soon as I start ACB, boom, gone. Using a 10G 360, Taiwan region, English (Asian) edition of the game (IIRC), XBL gold membership.

Im having more problems this morning after dl 2.0

Before i started up the game this morning this afternoon i donwloaded 2.0 from the market place. The game starts up and prompts me to download the 7mb patch again. I download it and stay signed in. It get to the multiplayer screen which tells me i need to sign in to play multiplayer even though im already signed in.

Error message

Cant connect to xbox live. Select test connection or try recovering your profile.

Is there a fix on the way?

FWIW mine actually does say "Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Title Update #5". I'll delete and redownload, see how that goes.

EDIT: Deleted, redownloaded, still doesn't work, still "Title Update #5"

Yes mr shade. My 7mb was update 3 yesterday and now its update 5, but my 2.0 snt there even though i downloaded it. I will try downloading it again.

What an idiot. 2.0 isnt even released yet lol i downloaded the trailer. ignore the part about downloading 2.0.

I'm only guessing - but appears all of the problems are due to that..

Title Update 5 - may be causing a 'mix up' - since the current update is number 3 - it may be an issue with the naming of the title update which has caused the issue..

Different servers may give out different files..


No help at present to you guys, but may help Support and MS fix the issue!

I may be on the wrong track.. but I think the name of that update = maybe adding to the problem..

Please make sure you all update Support with that info - I have contacted them as well to say it's at least very odd that you all have 5.. when it should be 3 [according to the info I have]

The thing is though, as I have said I could have sworn that before I deleted it, it said update #3, or else I wouldnt have had a clue which one to delete , and the reason I deleted it was because I was having these problems, now though it says update #5 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

I think this a UK problem only as all the people with posting on problems seem to be in the Uk. Very much seems nothing to do with ubi but MS as yesterday the "update Loop" was said to be a server problem. It's more fun to blame MS anyway.

I've tried deleting the update which seems to say "title update 5" which i gather is wrong and should be 3, redownload and get the same 5 again.

That cant be the reason can it? I dont have any updates in my memory and i still cant connect to xbox live whilst in ACB.

Well its certainly not isolated too the UK, i live in australia and ive got the same problem as everybody else.Update #5 and it wont let me sign in too xbox live on ACB every other game i have seems too be fine.

It's really strange that this update is causing such a fuss, what with all the trouble yesterday as well. Do Ubisoft generally not patch games or something?

I'm not angry or anything, just surprised at how much trouble they're having over something so routine.

Now now, don't go assuming that. Bug testing is hard work, and it's near impossible to predict all conditions. Plus it may well have been some error on Microsoft's part instead of Ubi's.

It was fixed pretty quickly yesterday considering we're in a different time zone to them. I'm assuming of course that they do the fixes from Montreal.

just checked and i had v5 so i deleted it and updated again and it was still update v5 local time (uk) 6.40pm 18/1/11 and as soon as i load the game up i get disconnected from xbox live and it doesnt reconnect til i go back to dashboard

its all very well saying its being worked on but here we are 9 hours later and still not working on top of the fact it didnt work yesterday. I paid for the game i pay for xbox live yet not recieving the service that i paid for, hence it is my right and every one else to vent on the official forums of the lack of support for said product. Still no firm time line only shoulds, hopes, cant be precise..... all in my experience fobbing off tactics. Please can someone post why this is only effecting the UK market???.

@Aymar: Thanks again for the update, most of us can wait patiently, and have other things we can do. We look forward to the launch of the new DLC, whenever that may be. Take your time and get everything sorted prior to that.

AYmar i hear you and understand that things like this are not easy and i wouldnt be able to fix it... however i dont get paid too, i would have thought some people may have learnt something after last nights debarcle, i am just annoyed i brought the game friday and havent really been able to play it much due to the match making and the fact i cant even get online, which is sad as its a fantastic game and me and my mates are having a blast,

i'm having the same probem most people seem to be having. Start the game, tells me to install the update, i do and it boots me off live and tells me to test my connection, i go to test connection and get signed into live straight away. Load assassins creed and it boots me off live and tells me to update the game again, and then the process repeats itself. I have decided that if Ubisoft cant make their updates work why should i buy their products? Tomorrow morning i am going into town and selling brotherhood, unless they solve the problem tonight.

We aren't kissing anyone's behind. I don't even need to know some of the people working on the issue to know that up until this point, things have run relatively smoothly. And that we are getting communication with regards to what is being done to fix the problem. Would you rather no one told us anything and we were left in the dark? Cause i know you'd complain about that as well.

Mishaps occur all the time. Its the very nature of working with code and developing anything, let alone a game. All i'm saying is give the people trying their hardest to fix stuff a break. Its not like you have to pay for the DLC they are working on getting to you in the first place.

Thanks for reply which wasnt condescending this time, i respect your postion on this but you fail to see mine, i only got the game friday 5 days ago. Whilst you and many other have no doubt been salivating at the mouth to recieve the new content which being free is awesome i will add, However i havent even played enough of the multi player to need the new stuff yet but yet i cant see the content that is already there, Yes it may be that i am unfortunate that i only picked it up the other day and these problems on just started happening ut surely you can understand where my frustration comes from?

Either way 2 poeple can see things differently and that doesnt make either one incorrect its all about opinions.

True is, sometimes we all do our job properly, we have a certified working patch, and DLC. Believe me, I would rather have a working TU like the 2 previous one, but with online game, those unfortunate events happen.

Meanwhile we are trying to keep you up to date, we are showing dedication and respect toward you, because your opinion and feedback matter to us, and I'm speaking in the name of every Assassin's Creed Production member.

Sunday got the game went on it took forever to load! but then started working fine for me
Monday - loop http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif but when loop was fixed was working perfect
Today: Same problem as you guys and now im on it but i can't get into a game becuase it won't load other games working fine http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

Hi guy's I just woke up from having a nap since page six of this thread. Haven't tried playing online yet but hear we're back online. To Ubisoft support personnel and the production team I thank you for your hard work today and yesterday it must have been a hard few days. Thanks also for talking to us on my thread so we understood what was going on.
Can you believe I alway's thought you had back up servers in place for this kind of thing!? What a nube I am.

To those who spoke about the ashes what a horrible few days that was too eh. The selection should have some new players and some experience to show them how to handle the big comps like that and mostly they gotta be able to get on with each other or it isn't a team.

And to Ribbtacular: Pretty sure I shot you on COD 4 a few times earlier and visa versa but if not I'm gonna add you just in case this happens again. Till then lets all slice each other up on here and hopefully the new map soon too!

Btw if you were wondering why SamuraiCasanova it's what my Japanese wife calls me. Just a silly nickname that became gamertag.
