I really need your help. I am having a really weird sound problem in Splinter Cell 1.

In outdoor levels, i am getting a weird noise. It comes when i am crouching, (pressing c) and when i am back standing. It only sounds when i move into or out crouch position.
Also when i open trapdoors or anything it sounds...
And it's ONLY in outdoor area's...
And sometimes it also comes when i don't even move. And it goes away now and then, but it comes back few second later http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

You guys have any idea what to do about it?? I have allready set the sound details to low, and the 3D sound off, but it didn't help... My directX is up to date (i have 9.0C), and my drivers are also up to date...

My system:
CPU: Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz
Ram: 512 MB
3D card: Nvidia Geforce FX Go 5700 128 MB

Please please help me, because it is really bad http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

Are you using an Audigy 2 sound card in a Dell Dimension PC?

Most laptop sound cards aren't very good for sound. Check to see if there are any new drivers for it on the maker's website.

Well i am having a HP laptop, with this soundcard:

3D Sound Blaster Pro 16-bits sound

I also installed the latest patch but it didn't help... i still getting the noise. It's aslo when i don't even move.

But sometimes it's gone, and then few seconds later it's back...

And i only had it in outside area's http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Hey, willy508.
I have an Audigy 2 in a Dell XPS 3.2GHz system with 2gb RAM and ATI 9800XT (256). I can not hear sound when movies play, but all else seems fine.
