If the game includes not just the usual suspects but the well-forgotten UK and Australia (at the very least, forgotten as far as their participation in the Pacific War is concerned), where did the Dutch go? The British and Australian naval forces were putting pressure on the Japanese throughout the seas surrounding NEI, so how comes the Dutch are left out? After all, we get Slovakia in FB, why not Netherlands in PF? Of course, they could always make a good theme for an add-on later, though.

I recall reading a book about Dutch Naval Cadets who were evacuated from their East Indies colony at the last minute. A few of them joined a B25 squadron in Europe and fought the war out there. The author ended up being an Admiral in the Dutch Navy after the war. Even though born in the East Indies they always thought of themselves as Dutch. They also left their women and children behind when they evacuated. Always wondered what happened after the war, did some of them try to return "home"? There must be some stories in there especially about what happened to the dependants they left behind.

There's even a flyable Cw 21 Demon being worked on, if you're like me and enjoy **** planes. I understand the Dutch also got stuck with some Buffs as well, so early war engagements will be very challenging.

btw Ilya Mourometz, mind telling me from where in Limburg you are, I'm a sjeng myself.

LOL, I've been at it since the original Il2.

You work at the airport btw? you guys wouldn't happen to have a 747 over on the apron would you?

Neville Shute wrote a book (Town like Alice iirc) based (in part) on the true story of a group of dutch civilians in that situation. No Japanese military commander wanted to assume responsability for them so they were forced to walk from one military district to the next, all the while getting weaker and more ill, and dying off, until they were helped by villagers.
Recommended reading; even if Shute fictionalizes the characters as being of English origin (a note is made as to the nationality of those who inspired the book).
