I wanted to try out the new armored train and the NW Europe map, so I hopped in a Me 110 and went after 2 armored AA trains. I hit the first one in the engine, then took out the AA car, and then went after the second train which was pulling up behind the first. Here's what I saw:

I must have blown them both to smithereens! What's with this .ntrk???? Never had this happen before.

Records are quite messed up now. I've recorded few trk's in which I get microstutters only once. I shot down 2 enemy planes but when I playback the recording I shot only one down and after that I crashed. Weird.

About nrtk's slightly microstutter will desync it and then planes will shoot in thin air and hit other objects etc.

I think I found the problem. My ISP provider has alerted me that someone from Japan with the moniker "FlatSpin Man" has hacked into my computer and is running amuck at the moment.

I assume an "amuck" is a compuer virus.

Beware those with Spanish Republican ties!

I used to have similar problems. DO NOT use the "Record Track" button post flight; When you want to record a mission use the "Quick Record" feature and record it as .ntrk. Since I was instructed on that I have had no problems.

Exactly! And btw, I meticulously avoid messing with the time function either during a mission or in playback, to hopefully avoid problems. It happens anyway, but this one with 2 missing trains was a brand new problem for me. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

I use save track and have no problems. Then a again I'm not chasing trains.

Saunders, is it possible the train is outside of the view and you are just a very bad shot? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Well, I'm a bad shot, to be sure. But there is supposed to be an armored AA train engine right in the midst of those explosions! With the AA car immediately behind it (to the right of my approach). With another disabled armored AA train right in front of it (to the left, before the track turns).

Then again, maybe I am seeing things--er, not seeing things that are not there--er, seeing things that are there but not--er...well, my glasses are a little smudgey, and I haven't been to the eye doctor in a while.

Well, then all I can think of is that it might be your machines or graphics devices. The computer I am using has a Gig of RAM and that might be the difference.

When I recorded .trk files they recorded correctly sometimes, but not consistently. When I did my carrier ops checkflights in a F2-A2 it showed the first landing right, but on the second it showed me landing in the ocean port-aft of the carrier. I was sitting in the water, gradually sinking as I retracted flaps to take-off and retracted my tailhook, then requested take-off clearance. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif That was stupid. I've watched it copletely invert the results of dogfights where it shows the a/c I was chasing slipping off to the side while I chase ghosts and shoot at atoms. Then my opponent - which I had shot down - slips in behind me and shoots me out of the sky. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I then came upon a thread here where this problem was being discussed and mentioned this problem, whereupon I was told to use quickrecord. While I had a little lag at first this quickly cleared-up. Just like us, computers learn, too, and they get better at doing things with practice. My tracks record correctly now each time.

People were givin me all kinds of excuses. At least i finally know its not just me.

I find that hittin record after works better than .ntrk's now, very weird.
