BY NOT POSTING Stupid comments on their pleas, PLEASE HELP ALL THESE NEW USERS OUT...I notice most of the silly posts on their pleas for help are from relatively new users, ie UNDER 100 POSTS.......... IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING CONSTRUCTIVE TO ADD TO THEIR REQUESTS THEN DONT............ A lot of you would have been helped by a lot of us in the past........... HAVE SOME SENSE and if you do not know or cannot help, do not post such childish dross as the inane posts you have been adding..........

PLEASE ALL NEW USERS TO THE GAME, POST YOUR NEEDS AND ADVICE REQUESTS, WE WILL ALL HELP YOU OUT TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS EXCELLENT GAME.............

TO PEOPLE POSTING ON THESE NEW USER THREADS USELESS AND UNHELPFUL DROSS..........

If you have a prepubescent urge to rub yourself up against something, go find a Girl/Boy/Laptop but stop posting stupid pictures and inane posts that for those on slow connections just screw it up for them and do nothing to help the new players on here...... after all they are the life blood of the online community in the years to come...........

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

One thing you have to remember is that we were all noobs at this at one time. No one startedn playing this game, and new EVERYTHING right off the bat. We are here to learn from others, and help out the ones who need it.

hmmm..the title of this thread looks like you are asking newcomers not to post or start new topics..

Maybe you mean to ask old timers to respond to newcomers with tact, patience and helpfull replies.

Maybe we should look at each new thread starters registration date and post count before clickety clacking?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The point is, this 'game' is hard to get your head around but, as most of us realise, very satisfying once the intricacies are mastered.

As TT said, it's not our place to mock newbies just because we've got the hang of how it works.

I do however reserve the right to say 'read the flippin' manual'! Many of the questions thrown up can be answered by reading through it (and there's an element of laziness in those who don't read it.) But smart-*** wisecracks just used for the writer's gratification (and post-count) don't help.

Understand your point, but the title still reads like a request for newcomers to not post<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

<span class="ev_code_white">Oleg: I think players should upgrade their PC after the release of Storm of War: The Battle of Britain, but not now. Minimum system would be probably like last year good system for IL-2 series. The simulation has gone from what was to be a study sim involving one aircraft to a real monster anthology of WWII aviation. The engine has been stretched to fit multi-engined bombers, aircraft that are linked (such as the Mistel and the TB-3/I-16 combinations), aircraft carriers, runway cratering, working searchlights, etc.

Hell, as HOPELESS as I was and sometimes still am I'd NEVER diss a noob. Just don't have the skills, brass or arrogance to do so. The worst thing I'd do is not answer at all but certainly never insult. Bullying is bad form and doing it would reflect poorly on me, this community and the squadron I proudly represent.

Glad to see that nOOb bashing is going out of style http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif For the most part this forum has matured over the years but nOObiness flares up from time to time in all of us simply because this sim is not so easy to master -- and that's a good thing IMO.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I've seen a number of posts recently in which the first answer for some poor noobs question is a dis from a mod.

This, of course, means open season on the guy. "If a mod can do it..." So the idiot parade begins and the noob never posts again.

I ask mods in particular to keep it in your pants. If you act like a 'tard, it sets a bad example.

If one of the purpose's of this forum is to attract and keep new players, then lets show a little maturity.

Wait until someone has posted a few times before shooting them down http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Really?
Have you contacted mods PM?
I'll bet the answer is no. Much easier to insinuate and cast dispersions isn't it?

PM mods about mods bad behavior?

Uh...Okay.

I'll be happy to.

Or should I just post links to the offending threads?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

There's a difference between fellows coming and asking (simple?) questions like "how do I take off?" or "how do I configure my joystick?", or whatever, and those who come in and 'rubbish' the sim for their own (egotistic?) reasons.
I don't object to moderators who jump on this kind of pointless behaviour. Most of these mods have invested a lot of energy in helping people to get the most out of the sim, and criticism for criticism's sake must be like a red rag to a bull, quite often.

I don't want to put off new recruits, but I don't want to see OMFG, this is a pile of cr** posts everywhere. I also think it's important for new 'players' to realise that they need to conform to the sim and not vice versa. It ain't perfect, but what is?
