Yes and dirt clods were Grenades, Loads of fun, but for me it was in Corn/Bean fields, and brushy feeder creeks.

I must have run with a really violent crowd. I remember playing "soldiers" at night in the woods with bottle rockets, Slingshots and M-80s. Rather exciting, at least until the park police showed up.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

We played " 1 Pump Rule " bb gun wars. Of course, someone always had to violate the 1 pump rule. I have the scars to prove it.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

We never used sticks as guns, we used to use them as swords and hit each other with them instead...... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I had a prize stick which never broke once in combat with the lads on the other side of the field<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I use to play with the Green Men soldiers and used dirt clods as artillery explosions.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Those were the days...every xmas, my brother and me would get a new cork gun...it folded at the breech, that gave it a aircharge. Then a cork was placed in, at barrel end...great fun taking out the army's we carefully put up. I once put a pin in the cork...and shot a house fly off of my big toe....when I retrieved the cork, there was the fly....squared http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Did you ever notice when playing that stuff as a kid that you could hear the gunfire and explosions in your mind? The imagination was always a great thing. Now there is Airsoft. You should check out all the great stuff they are making these days!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Uh we used the 1 pump rule too, but I was just not going to say anything about How we missbehaived with out BB Guns. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

I actually shot my brother in the eye. Him and a few others had me pinned down in the pigieon hole in top of the barn I was playing sniper. So I stuck hand and gun out the hole and fired a shot without looking. It was a bad deal, But luckily he only has a muscle twitch from it and his eye sight is perfectly fine.

I only wish they would of came up with Paint markers back then. Oh the fun, I do it today , but it would be allot more fun if I was young and in shape. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Me and my friends carried plastic guns and such when we were grade school age. We also took out our Monogram and Revell WWII model airplanes and had battles against each other. Our whining about which type could out do the other was just like the threads on these forums. "Your Zero can't catch my Corsair, not fair! WAAAAH... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif ..WAAAAH!!"

The most painful mock battles I had was in my 20's at my first print shop job. When the boss was away four of us would shoot rubber band powered pressed eyelets at one another. Our eyelets were 1cm I.D. brass grommets and at ranges closer than 15 feet they would draw blood. Eyelet shooting was the best "point-and-shoot" training I ever had. Back then we would also take trips to the shotgun range and with the fresh eyelet practice, we were hitting the highest percentages of clay pidgeons we had before or since.

Young men are friggin' idiots, huh? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

From http://www.stimpsonco.com/gs_eyelets.htm

Take one of these, flatten it on an eyelet press, tie a reasonably strong rubber band on it, see a friend, shoot it from your finger or thumb, cuss yourself for not getting your thumb or finger out of the way in time, try again while he's firing back. Both of you are running and ducking under tables. Fun. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
