Well I see it was made by Mexicans but nevertheless its surely on the wrong side of the divide between politically correct and racist.OK so its not THAT bad and a bit of a laugh but as a non american I can imagine some being offended by it .Maybe Im wrong?

Agreed.

It`s funny, it`s nicely put together and the pregnant woman really made me laugh...

But I can see some people getting upset about it stereotyping certain people and others getting upset cos it`ll just cement their worse fears. This could be just a funny film, or a very clever, cynical film with a dangerous message...

Or am I thinking too hard?

That reminds me, I have still yet to see 300..

In case anyone is wondering, I am of 1/2 hispanic descent and I have cousins who have lived in Mexico for over 40 years, and their kids were born in and are proud citizens of Mexico. My wife was born in a Latin American country and my 2 1/2 year old daughter STILL is only speaking in Spanish despite being born in the USA (she'll learn English soon enough with TV and school and speaking Spanish is a huge advantage).

The producers of the piece are the LATINO COMEDY PROJECT. http://www.lcp.org/

Its just a funny satire.

I refuse to live a life anymore where political correctness dictates one's every action, word or thought.

If someone is offended well frankly I just don't give a d@mn anymore.

Political correctness is out of freakin control. Here is a family fined because their 6 year old daughter drew a chalk drawing of a flower on the front stoop of their house. Some idiot complained....

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,301559,00.html

New York Parents Fined for Daughter's Chalk Drawings on Stoop
Saturday , October 13, 2007
Chalk it up to the city's crackdown on graffiti.

A 6-year-old child's chalk sketches on her family's stoop brought her bemused parents a graffiti-removal notice that threatened a $300 fine, the family and Sanitation Department officials said.

"My mom got a ticket for graffiti, and it wasn't even graffiti," first-grader Natalie Shea said. "It was art, very nice art."

But a neighbor apparently didn't see it that way and called the city's 311 complaint line about the blue flower drawn earlier this month on the stoop of Natalie's home in Park Slope, a Brooklyn neighborhood known for being family-friendly.

The notice that arrived Oct. 5 " giving the family 45 days to clean up the "graffiti" " was a form letter sent in response to all such complaints, city Sanitation Department spokeswoman Kathy Dawkins said.

"If people call and complain, we have to follow it up," she said, but noted that the agency "does not consider a child's chalk drawing to be graffiti."

Nor does City Councilman Peter Vallone, who spearheaded a 2005 city law that requires property owners to get rid of graffiti.

"It was never the intent of my law to capture chalk drawings on the sidewalk," he said.

Natalie's mother, Jen Pepperman, said she would wash off the girl's doodles more promptly in future. As for the offending flower, it was erased Thursday by a heavy rain.

Yes political correctness is getting way out of control. Everyone is offended by something and think there whining and crying is more important then everyone elses problems. Well touch $hit people ive got more important problems then worrying if your offended by something.

Wife is half Chilean, I am part hispanic, tho it be a small bit. If anyone else made it I could see where it could be misconstrued as rude or in bad taste.

Who rules the north American continent is the luck of the draw as I see it; the Spanish empire was in decline, while the English were at that time (IIRC) in ascendency. I think really this kind of debate is best handled in civil private topic.

I can understand if some are perhaps rankled by the implications of this vid, but consider this is a parody. Parody for the unfamiliar is defended by the court ruling stretching back to Mad Magazine in the 1960's where a movie studio (IIRC- it's been a long time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif) tried suing them for ripping off the concept of their movie. It falls under 1st amendment rights.

If you are at work this isn't correct. I had a young woman working for me and she always refered to women as "girls", including herself. I gently reminded her several times to say women. She responded that since she was a girl she could call herself that. I responded that if it wrong for me to call her a girl than it was wrong for her to do it too. The rules are the same for everyone; you can't have it both ways.

I fully agree. This is the kind of femin-nazi sexism that really annoys me. A lot of feminists think it`s ok to have completely one rule for men that simply don`t apply to women. And they can`t seem to see how wrong they are.

To be honest, I pay little attention to feminists since they`re hypocrites who think it`s ok cos they`re female.

When I was in the Army.. Our platoon Sgt was a push over.. When we would go to the field he would give all the female troops the easy job and have all the guys doing the grunt work.. When I made platoon Sgt that all stopped and I assigned jobs based on rank not sex.. You would not believe how many feminists were after me from that day forward just looking for me to slip up so they could charge me with something.

Yikes.. if this keeps up we might have redefine our relationship! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Really? I've never heard that view point, however I am quite ignorant to much in the world. I'm sure everything south of the US border would be included in that theory. If you could find that documentary, I'd like to check it out.

I'm a californian and I found the movie funny. The siberians stole california from the... sabre tooth tigers; the spanish stole it from them; the mexicans stole it from spain; we the US stole it from Mexico; and now many would say that mexico is trying to steal california back. Cest la vie. This place has had nearly as many invaders as Great Britain.
