I changed my settings to this;

HardwareShaders=1

Shadows=1
Specular=2
SpecularLight=2
DiffuseLight=2
DynamicalLights=1
MeshDetail=2
VisibilityDistance=3

Sky=2
Forest=2
LandShading=2
LandDetails=2

LandGeom=2
TexLarge=1
TexLandQual=3
TexLandLarge=1

VideoSetupId=2
Water=3
Effects=3

and enabled stencil buffer (witch seems to be the important one) and now i have the new water..it does ofcourse not look as good as on the 6800 but its all 3d and shiny now..awesome!

This doesn't mean much unless you post what fps you get...

THat card only supports PS 2.0. I bet a Radeon 9800 pro could do the same.

Ya! I have the 4600ti also.

My 4600 ti can beat you'r VGA card up. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Actualy, I'm happy with this card. However, I will proubly upgrade shortly after I buy PF. A man has to have his water right?

I've got a Ti-4600, too. I plan to do the best I can with it until I buy a new card.

I tried those settings and the water looks the same as always on my 4200. Nice, with reflections and texture, but no dynamics such as waves or swell. Are you really getting the full deal on a 4600?

only card that can run PS3 without any significant loss of FPS is the nVidia's highend card's

ATI's PS3 card's is stil in development

Re: Nono ofcourse not the full deal, but i was sure i was stuck w the old totally crappy water of FB and then i just tried w stencilbuffer and all of a sudden i saw reflections and stuff..so its not anything close to the new cards but its a BIG change over the old.
And the frames get a big lower but its still very playable.
