What settings do the fighter AI use?
How about the convergence for bomber crew gunners?

I don't think you need to set convergence on a lone gun. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

That's easy.

Wherever I happen to be...that's where they converge.

He is probably referring to those twin or quad turrets on the heavies.

But, well, with OlegAimô, I am convinced the AI can change convergence on the fly and auto-converge where my damn plane is.

Alone, I attacked a formation of B-17 in a Bf-109. Each bomber got 100 points for shooting me down. Overclaiming BS!

Exactly. Those twin guns...not the single mounts.

I've watched a ton of those track files out of boredom and noticed by slowing down the vid, and allowing non fixed angles that the convergence does seem to move LOL
The interesting ones are the clips with wing mount MG's or cannon- just digging deeper into the convergence thing- I cranked up my convergence to 100 and it really seems to rip up planes..
But the ever Uber AI I would have guess all had the same settings, maybe not?

There is 3 convergance I use regulary.

Wing mount dog fighting 183 = 200 yards

Shooting ground targets 275 = 300 yards

When attacking Bombers I crank it out to 1000 just so I can feel them out before they feel me.

I also use the 1000 setting as a standard setting on nose mounted rides.

I have no idea what the AI use, but I know they know mine. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

I have often wondered what convergence the AI use too...

As far as the gunners go I wouldnt think that convegance is modeled, as their bullets will strike at your position dependent on the difficulty settings of the AI itself...
I guess I should ask MYSELF the question... got track? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Aye that's about right.

I usually have mine set to 150-200 for MG's and 100 for cannons, although I always forget to wait and open fire from 600m. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
