I miss these from the good ol' days of these forums.
So, with the up and coming two new add ons (we'll say 46 and Manchuria, since Pe-2 kind of makes it obvious) which plane is going to be your first to fly?
I think personally i'm going to have to try out the Lerche.
That thing looks like a blast to fly, then again the MiG-9 is also looking good.
So what about you all?
This will help to pass the time between now and whenever we get to see these add ons on our computers!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Ki-27, Ki-43-II, A-20C

I'm not particularly interested in any other flyables since I don't fly german (in all these years I doubt I've flown half the german aircraft), and I have zero interest in the jets, and less than zero interest in any of the fantasy planes.

I plan on checking out the A-20C as a strafer, lol.

As for the lerche, I dunno, I guess maybe. Seriously, there are many, probably most german planes I have never flown, even in the QMB.

I've flown against most of them, but haven't flown too many. I've flown a couple marks of 109 more than once, not sure if I've flown any 190 more than once, and I flew 110s a few times dressed as Ki-45s. The only thing in 46 that interests me are the new ground objects. The jets would be more intriguing if the high alt part of the game wasn't so crappy. I've flown in plenty of jets higher than planes usually fly in Il-2, and the sky ain't that dark, that alone kills a lot of immersion to me, though with the lerche feeling like I'm flying in LEO might make more sense. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

If you could somehow get those on video, i for one would be interested!
i for one am only 20, going on 21.
I've always loved planes, and i can remember finding Flight Sim 98 in my shop class, i'd always go play it, keyboard only!
Then i finally got a computer and can remember getting Janes compilation pack, i nearly cr@pped my pants!
Then i got a joystick, and since then, i've been stuck on them, but seeing where they started would be nice!
And i can't wait to try out those X-4 missiles!
You all should check out the videos at the end of the Oleg interviews over at simhq.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

im looking forward to build a small COOP campaign on the Nomonhan map.
Ki-27, Ki-21 vs I-16Typ18, I-153M-62, SB2

Ki-43-II (espacially how it compares to the Ki-43-I !) and N1K2-J are also very high on my interest list. also how the Burma, Manchuria an d Kiev maps will look like at last.

than the posibilities of the Ar234.

than checking the armament, CEM and speed features of all the jetfighters/mixed engines.

and sure, i will have a look at the Lerche http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Basically everything with the following scenarios to be tried :

Manchuria.

YP-80 and Arado bomber (if I'm not mistaken, some YP-80's were sent to Italy with the object of hunting down the Arado bombers).

Post war cold war. That'll be the Mig 9 against the YP-80 with B29's on both sides to protect/attack. How many of you know that the Soviets also built their own B29's from impounded ones that force landed in Siberia after a raid on Japan?

I'm looking forward very much to the updates.

For me its the A-20C, because I need a rel. small recon-plane with a excellent watching station (player in the glassnose) for my self made coop-missions.

I'd swap the ruddy lot of em for a Griffon engined Spitfire X1V and a DH Vampire jet. Then we'd really see some HOT planes for their respective periods. Trouble is they would show up some of the others I guess........
Of the lot that are there, I think the N1K2-J Shiden-Kai (or George to Americans!).
Not really into mickey mouse stuff - how do you simulate a plane that never flew? Why?

After looking at the new maps and ground objects. I will most probably go through the new planes in alphabetical order as they appear in the QMB.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

who ever said they would fly the plane they were already most familiar with, in order to assess the new J/S control adjustments Oleg made, is new smartest forum poster.

I will do this also - First F4F-3 then Bf109e-4

then Me110 then the venerable 'Sair http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gifbe sure

Since they may be offering a No-Boonty DVD, I have to fly catch up. Pe-2 may be my first, as I never bought Boonty 4.05 Online download. Mail Order DVD would be fine. I'm surprised these so-called Publishers have not figured this out yet.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The Il-10 is going to be one hell of a plane.
For those of you that haven't seen the Manchuria Add-On video that Oleg provided, it's got footage of an Il-10 dogfighting with a Fw-190.
And winning on top of that!
Then you can still take on the ground targets?!
It's just crazy!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I am going to take a Hawk 81 up to intercept some Ki-21s escorted by Ki-27s, then I am going to dogfight the A5M4 in the F4F-3.

Going to check if the assymetric recoil on the F4U, F4F, and F6F is fixed. Then take the flying marital aid for a spin.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

For sure I`ll start searching for minor but vital adjustments ingame.Maybe try out the whole joystick control thing, try out energy retention of B&Z planes such as Anton and Mustang.

And as always hoping for a change in dot/LOD system.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
