Guys just a heads up for the trailer to my next and final film. It is taking me longer than I hoped, and this trailer in no way shows the final quality that the end product is going to be. There are no film effects or motion blur or other stuff ( http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )but I thought I'd release a teaser trailer for you so you can see I'm not just twiddling my thumbs. You may notice the low sound quality but the file is just under 5mb for 1 minute, and I'd rather more people had a chance to view it than just us broadbanders.
.

Cheers, Puma.

You will need the XVID codec to view it which can be found here.

Very nice trailer, thumbs up.

Are some of those voices at the end of the trailer taken from TeamSpeak on WarClouds? Sounds like some familiar friends in there with some familiar expressions http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Excellent work there! I love some of the odd off angles!

Suggestion for musical choices...Hans Zimmer's soundtrack from Gladiator has been done to death. But you might want to pick up something in the same vein...another Zimmer masterpiece which is the King Arthur soundtrack. Its got the same vibe...but its less heard.

Yup, Warclouds is the place...works so well for air voice communication. Just hit record and take the soundbites. Awesome.

Special thanks to FA_Crazy Ivan for the Johnson soundbite. He was shy, but it worked out excellently.

Icefire...I was in a rush to get this trailer out yesterday, as time has been so limited for me in the past few months. Unfortunately I've lost about 2gb of .wavs and could only find Zimmer.

It wont be my choice for the film, it was just the trailer. I'm intending to create my own musical score for the movie so it's 100% original.

Cheers, Puma.

BTW, there is a typo in the text.....in my rush I put in 56th FS.....doh!...meant FG. Don't worry though all will be sorted for the final release.

Now where is my grindstone?

Final film.............

Excellent work, Puma!!!!

I knew you were an excellent pilot, but was unaware of your talents in the film making arena as well.....looks outstanding.

Will eagerly await the final.

awww....we're still finding people who don't know....I've only done four so-far.....and this WILL be the last.......

glad you like it guys. The final should have twice that many planes in the combat sequence...that'll be approx 140-170!! Now where's the heat sink http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

This is gorgeous! You may not know just how much I, and probably many others, love flight simulator made movies.

Where can I find your other movies?

However I think the Stalingrad links are down as it was linked to Wiley's site....maybe it's time to ask for a host for this movie...anyone?

Just one question. Why not use the correct model of B-17s? It seems all movies are made with G models no matter the year in which the combat scene is to be depicted. I do not make movies and have no knowledge of what it takes to make one. Your movie takes place in June of '43, there were E and F models flying out of Europe at that time. Just curious. Looking forward to the movie.

Well the G was around in 43, and I believe from the research I've done that the 384th, 304th and 305th were all in the air that day with this baby. Of course it would be nice to put a variety of planes in there....but I've got the count upto one-hundered and it's a real pain in the **** creating different paint-schemes.

Still, noted point, and I may just add a few extra cuts to the movie to keep the 'E' users happy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

'Based on a true story' is good enough for me. I don't think many will lose sleep if it is not 100% factually accurate. How many war movies come out of Hollywood that are spot on with their facts? Do I need to mention U-571?

It's a movie made with a games graphics engine and it entertains a relatively small community. The research you've made is enough to satisfy most here Puma...

Anyway... What's your budget Puma? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Hi MysticPuma

Amazing footage, and Robert johnson was also part of the Munster Mission shown on Purple Heart Alley...i loved the description of several kills made by the p47 pilots, but i just couldn't add more minutes to that massive movie...so i'm glad that your paying tribute to the Little Friends.

Cheers
