New guy here. Love PF but, for pilot missions(midway, guadalcanal(I was there by the way)and the rest the gear will not rise on T.O.
I have set a control button for it as well as for manuel rise and lowed. None of these work.
Need help here so I can fly some missions.
Thanks taldrg

On planes with manual gear (like the one you are flying), you must repeatedly press the manual gear key until the landing gear is either raised or lowered. Each press of the key raises the gear about 1/20th of its range, so you must press it over and over until you get confirmation of gear up (repeat procedure to lower gear with the key you have assigned to manually lower gear).

Powered-gear planes do not suffer from this distraction...just press the key once.

Hope that helps!

Yep it takes more than 20 taps but less than 50 to raise and lower them. Enjoy still easier here than real life I;m sure http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

my problem is that I use manual gear planes so little, when I do I forget where I mapped those manual gear keys to. Those wildcats sure are pigs with their gear down http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I havre my manual gear raise on the 9+3 axii of my X-45 stick (6 is tailwheel lock and 12 is gear raise) works great for me.. I kind of crank the handle to raise the gear manually.
