Hi all....was wondering if anyone here can help me out.I remember right when I was about to move that there was supposed to be a new version of the I-16 coming out.

I have searched everywhere in pacific foghters AEP and it doesnt look like I have this plane. Was this plane only downloadable in patch??

Thanks,

There's only 2 versions of the I-16 in FB/AEP and those are the types 18 & 24 (if memory serves me). Did you mean the I-185, that kind of looks like a souped up I-16 I suppose, if so that's in AEP.

Yes,Deerhunter thats the one.Wow I thought I imagined this plane.I do remember reading about how it was gonna be an UBER plane bar none.

Well here is something that I now need to find. How many planes do I have missing??

I installed FB\AEP\PF.No patches in between so im wondering how many planes are actually missing.Hey Oleg if you are reading this...please put the remaining planes that one doesnt get by the above installation into the next patch,please.http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well PF should patch AEP up and then install itself.

You sure you're missing the I-185 on the list? It does bear some resemblance to the I-16. And yes its considered uber by many...even by 1945 standards.

Thank you guys.I went and just overwrote the 201. and 204 patches then reinstaled the 301.patch and all is fine.

I really like the I-185.It looks to be a hotrod for surehttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

hey if I remember right,Oleg stated that the I-185 would have a new type of cockpit thats in none of the other planes.Only thing I notivce is that its stuck in one gunsight mode(shift F1).Anyone??

Thanks,
Dale

Just look at the details in the cockpit. It's the first one where they used "normal mapping" to render it.

Woaah,
just realized that I never ever had it appear in my whole 2.04/PF era.

No interest in flying it (heard it would match everything, maybe except for the Pony)and always left it out from any campaigns created for reasons
of historical authenticity.

What a shame for the developer's efforts http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

The I-185 is not really that much of an ├╝ber bird. It is a fairly early war plane, and against a P-51D, La-7, late FW-190 and such planes, it is decidedly out-gunned and out-ran. If I where to give it an informal rating, I would put it on level with the Spitfire Vb in terms of combat effectiveness.

It is a pleasure to fly it though. Stalls are easily countered and centred the 20mm cannons make shooting easy. It looks like an I-16 on steroids, and in many ways it behaves like one. Take it out for a spin in the QMB, it is an entertaining plane to fly!
