I'm sorry if this is said before. But if I remember it correctly. In the book the da Vinci code it is said that da vinci is secretly a templar who acts like he is a christian. Do you think this will mean something in the game?

Well That Would Make Sense!!! Cuz in AC1 Atairs Mentor(Al Mualim) was a templar! So they had a clash off in the end! Which mite be the same thing in Ac2. Except It Will Be Ezio VS Da Vinci!

Well the da vinci code was a work of fiction, and I doubt ubi would use this as it would be pretty much the same as the twist in AC1.

In the da vinci code, the knights templar were basically the "good guys" who protected a religious secret and were persecuted for it. They survived as the priory of scion.

In AC, the knights templar are manipulative, ambitious people who seek world domination. they were disbanded publicly after the crusades, but still existed secretly.

In real life, the knights templar were a religious order that was later transformed by the king into a knightly order used to guard the roads and such about jerusalem, to protect religious stuff like solomon's temple. They were disbanded after the crusades and are rumored to have become the masons.

With the possible exception of what happened post-disbandment in AC and real life, none of these stories match up and thus the da vinci code likely has NO bearing on the AC universe.

@Edengoth, u forgot that a lot of templars who escaped prosecution joined the Hospitalier and Teutonics since they were good allies, the masons was a myth that I dont know about, but they've found records ofknown templars in the Hospitalier and Teutonic orders after the prosecution of King Henry IV

@disturbedme_468 wow, i actually didn't know all that. fascinating. I'm sure that'll play a role in the survival of the templars in AC2

@BloodOfTheCreed ...what?

The Priory of Sion was a hoax of P.Plantard or somebody to gain the throne of France. (or something)

If you think anything in the Da Vinci Code is true, you've clearly been Dan Browned (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/DanBrowned/DanBrown).

Oh yes, because Da Vinci has such amazing skills. Unless he booby-trapped the battleground, Ezio would make him a bloody mess on the floor in seconds.
*smacks Danvish's nose pre-emptively to prevent a really awful, can't-believe-i-just-laughed-at-that joke right there*

Now I feel compelled to guess what joke you were expecting.

By booby traps did you mean catching Ezio in a cage and making him try out some new hidden blades? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Or maybe....

trapping him in a pit?

In the Da vinci Code, Da Vinci is a grandmaster of the Priory Of Sion, which holds a secret so great, it could destroy the church.

I forgot the whole story behind it,

But im not sure if the Priory Of Sion are modern templars, but who knows

I think somebody above me said this but, they can't make da Vinci be a bad guy cause then it would be exactly like the same thing that happened in the first game...

Yeah, if its anything like Patrice has said, that it's nothing we'll ever expect, then it's probably not going to be the same twist as in AC1.

Why cant Da Vinci be a Templar in the game, Ezio don't have to be in war vs the Templar's (at least in the beginning) and maybe Da Vinci helps Ezio, you know as a spy or whatever but i dont think they would use any thing from the Da Vinci code in AC http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

What? That would be an inevitable "your master guy turns evil", repeating the first one. Fans would go nuts with rage. And if not for the Da Vinci code there is really no half-decent reason to make leonardo a templar.

@godsmack, the da vinci code was written as fiction, so by those standards, who's to say harry potter is fake, or ender's game, or assassin's creed, or the flying spaghetti monster?
We can be reasonably sure that these are not true because the creator of the idea explicitly said they are not true.

@kaxen, lol!
