Hey,guys i just bought the DLC for AC2.
And i'm mad, because i was under the impression that the the new DlC will let you get more acheviments because i allready got the original 50 acheviments.
So i bought both DlC packs and my acheviments stayed the same.
So what do you guys think? should people still keep buying the DLC?
have any of you bought the new content?

Don't get me wrong i'm not saying don't buy the DLC i'm just saying don't buy it with the hopes of getting more acheviments.

achivements?

come on... there's no need for those silly points
what's important about the dlc is the story cutted from the game

Topic = pointless.

What Estel said. I personally believe that it's worth the money, because it's highly enjoyable. Screw the points.

It's all about the story line, not achievements/trophies.

Nah, i knew it beforehand when i bought the two dlcs. If you got 1000/1000 gs that aint bad. I think there was a similiar post already about extra achievements for the dlcs or not. But yeah. No dude, there's none to be had. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I think il buy the DLC regardless, you would be a moron to buy it just for achievements

the question is..

is it dlc created after the games completion,or is it stuff cut from the game to sell to idiots and the gullible ?

the more fools pay for slices of game ripped out to screw cash, the more it`ll happen.

You are just one of those guys who only cares about acheviments or trophies did you buy the game just for that??? how lame let me say, sigh...
if u like the game and obviusly didn't u would pay for the dlc for the story and more missions, etc... again sigh.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I like achievements as much as the next guy since I believe it really stretches the life of a game. With that being said, Assassin's Creed II was my personal GOTY for 2009 and it's an amazing game so even though the DLC didn't have new chievo's and Battle of Forli was somewhat of a dissappointment, I still bought both of them since any excuse to play more ACII is a good excuse in my books.

i havent made it yet, havent even created a storyline or any code at all,but going by your rules i can name it GOTY 2011 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

i hate to break it to you, but AC2 was released 2009 on the PS3 and Xbox360, so is eligible to be named GOTY for 2009, just not PC GOTY

A bit of a misleading title then, wouldn't you say?

And yeah, I bought it and am very happy with it. I couldn't care less about trophies/achievements.

considering the PC version comes with the DLC included, you should be able to tell what format people are talking about buying the DLC for http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

so to me since you cant even work out simple things I would advise against insulting people. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

i also hate to break it to you but releasing it late nov 2009 does not a GOTY for 2009 make it.

you see there 12 months to a year, and november is the 11th month, which means you look even stupider.
i can post a calender if you like, where it shows you just how much of a year nov to dec is,but i suspect even in your junior school they will have taught you theres 12 months to a year.

hope that clears up the point for you,and shows sychophantic behaviour towards a game is really not the way to go for self respect.

sorry, but when i see someone with 13742 posts on a game forum,i turn off straight away,as that much time spent on a game forum is not only unhealthy, but shows a mental age of 12 to 14.
i cant interact with that kind of age when something as simple as a chocolate biscuit can produce the same results in excitement.

@BTOG46 sorry.

@AJ_Rimmer_Bsc yes there are 12 months in a year well done im glad you know that and yes november is month number 11, now you see if there are 12 months in a year, and a game is released on the 11 month of those 12 months, then it is still the same year, assassins creed 2 was released on november of 2009 making it perfectly acceptable as a GOTY it was even nominated for the official GOTY, besides he said it was his personel GOTY mean game of the year for him, not the official one so next time try thinking about what you are saying, savvy?

it takes you minutes to resign up and post this nonsense.

it takes a mod a second to delete you.

the math says your wasting your time.

"Don't buy the DLC"

This sounds like you plan on pirating it. This is why Ubisoft needs stronger DRM because you guys keep ruining it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

I don't buy games for achievements.

I do try for the achievements once I grow tired of everything else, so they add extra challenge to the game, but I why are they necessary? They aren't.

Are you kidding me!? Don't buy the DLC because it has no Trophies/Achievements? I bought both of the DLC parts on the day they came out so I could play Assassin's Creed II - not so I could collect more Trophies.

God... Sometimes I wish Trophies/Achievements never existed.

All right, this thread has seen enough.
This subject - of achievements' existence in the DLC - has been debated a few times before too, so more reason to close the door here.
