Hi all,

Watched an interesting episode of Modern Marvels on the the History Channel this weekend.

The topic was "Deadliest Weapons", and among those discussed was the VT proximity fuse which was developed by the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Before the advent of the VT Fuse, it took 6,400 AAA shells to down a single aircraft. After the fuse was delivered to the fleet that number dropped to around 600 AAA shells to achieve the same results.

Does PF simulate this fuse?

Doesn't seem like it.

For example, the 5in guns on the later ships just explode in the air around the target as normal.

With the hyper-accurate AAA gunners in the game, thank God the answer is "No".

Yeah tell me about it. They surely know how to get their rounds stright into the cockpit and through my head at long ranges.
