I've preordered the Assassins Creed: Revelations Game Guide from Piggyback with my game on Play.com - because it was extremely cheap and free delivery.

I've seen a few reviews online that have all given a very good score to the Brotherhood Game Guide, but I wanted to know if any forum fans have bought AC game guides in the past, and if so, would you recommend them?

I don't know Pound currency, but it looks fairly reasonable http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Do they hacve the Collector's edition Guide of ACR?

since I preorder the ACR CE guide on amazon for 20$ which is about same price as regular guide ( at retail stores like bestbuy or gamestop)

10 = $16, according to Google...
And I'm not sure how many editions there are.

Well it's a retail price of 12.99 - so you saved 2, and most of the guides are fairly well written from what I have seen...

End of the day, it's value goes on what you are expecting http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Then again Shade, the Piggyback guide for Brotherhood was pretty pointless in my view, as a player would really only need it for the Rifts (watchable online) and the Feathers and Flags (Maps can be bought for most).

I'd consider buying it if it had some actual use, but if the game allows me some way of finding the collectables, then I'm not paying 10-13.

Plus they sometimes have handy hints and tips for multiplayer modes and map layouts - which can be handy for new players http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

For 10 - it's not bad - considering some guides can be 20 for the normal paperback versions.

I won't be needing it to help complete the story mode, I want it for:

- Roadmap of side missions, in order to stay in context during the story (In Brotherhood the story stopped making much sense if you played certain side missions too late etc)

- Help with any collectibles that are difficult to find, and any puzzles that I struggle with

- A variety of multiplayer strategies in order to get good at it again (I used to be such a boss http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blush.gif)

- When I replay the game I'll probably try some missions the way the guide tells me to, in case I find any easter eggs etc...

And to me that seems worth the price, I just wanted to see if anybody thought it was rubbish

EDIT: Also I hate going on Youtube for video game help (like the glyphs/rifts), it takes away from the immersion.

Indeed i did. Both the Brotherhood's and AC 2's collector's(limited)edition strategy guides. Here's take a looksy

AC2's (http://s954.photobucket.com/albums/ae26/mncper/AssassinsCreed-photos/?action=view&current=DSC01362.jpg)

Brotherhood's (http://s954.photobucket.com/albums/ae26/mncper/AssassinsCreed-photos/AssassinsCreed_albumconti/?action=view&current=DSC01652.jpg)

and yes i'll get ACR collector's guide too.

in my opinion, i like AC2's limited guide much more than the Brotherhood's. Would i recommend buying them. Yes, when it comes to Assassin's Creed i'm a sucker for it. I'm just an AC's universe fan and i tends to buy most things relate to AC. That's just me.

I was getting ready to say it's not really necessary but then I remembered how many times I used it to cheat my way through the subject 16 puzzles in brotherhood. And it is indeed well written with cool pictures so if you're a fan it's worth it but if your not a really big fan then idk.

Being one of the people who got 100% sync on BH, it sounds worth it, I spent 50 on my Collector edition game, and after half a year of waiting I want to get the absolute most from my game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
