After about 12 hours of working with nothing more than paint, ive made a skin for the IL-2T that makes it look like a japanese B5N2 kate. Its the next best thing to flying the kate and I did pretty well considering its my first skin, all i did was use existing kate textures and used paint to line them up right, took me long enough I dont know how to make it so u can download them, so just "save picture as" the texture i show u below, then go to C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\PaintSchemes\Skins\Il-2T(or whatever different directory u may have) and place it as a .bmp in there, make sure to save it as a 24 bit-bitmap. I hope this texture hasn't been made already, i had a good time making it though.(:

Not bad...especially considering you used Paint.

There are a few jaggies. You might get slightly better results if you paint it at 1024x1024 instead of 512x512.

If you're really keen on making more skins there's a free open source program called The Gimp. It's almost as powerful as PSP and more than adequate for making skins. I highly recommend it.

You can get it here:http://www.gimp.org/

Keep up the good work! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

They're Marats. Russian. Been in the sim since the very beginning - or almost. Good choice to stand in for US ships at Pearl because they are also early dreadnoughts
