Ok, Phase one....I think

What I'm trying to do is determine if the changes I have had in my offline campaign are the results of something originating in the latest patch or something I have screwed myself with downloads (i.e, single missions, campaign generators, voice packs, etc.)

I really don't know how any of those could pork A.I behavoir in offline play but something is amiss so.........

1st step is a complete reinstall of FB/AEP, clean no addons of any kind.

My question is this. How many of you out there are playing with aep patched to 2.01 then to 2.04 and are any of you playing 2.04 patched directly over the out of box FB/AEP?

I'm none to sure how to proceed in this but I do know its going to be a slow process as it takes 4 or 5 hours to generate a pilot career and then fly a mission a minimum of 5 times to compare results.

Some have pointed out in ORR that without pie graphs, color charts and lots of wordy documents it has no legitimacy and is only whining so I am hoping this is wordy enough for a start.
Maybe I need to use more !!! and make wild claims of bias I don't know? Call me wierd but I would rather try and establish some facts. Its a crying shame my upload speed and knowledge of how to even get a graph to appear here is so limited.

Wow, the feedback was atounding, I am stunned.

Should have made the title "Richard Gere and Tom Cruise insert a gerbil into Brads Pitt for new BoB film" would have 4 pages by now.

Anyway, after a complete reinstall of FB/AEP and adding nothing other than 2.01 and 2.04, no single mission, voice packs or campaigns by 3rd parties I have determinrd that what ever was causing my AI weirdness it was of my own doing.
Now how to figure out what it was I installed or screwed up in config that caused so much bizarre behavior.

What ever was the problem AI is back to an occasional kill steal and no longer throttles down until crashing or bat at sundown low level ploughing into the ground..

did you use DCG and than switched back to normal Dgen campaign ?

if so maybe that screwed up your game
i know it did to mine camapiagn but it did not screw up the AI as far as i could see (not tested or anything)

all i know DCG can mess up Dgen pretty bad when switching between the two,but not AI just the missions it self and some wierd crashes

im not sure on this maybe im wrong

i never had this AI wierdness thing and its very strange this can happen when isntalling third party stuff

Sunburst to be honest I have no idea what was the deciding factor as I download almost anything and everything that comes up on either this forum, Netwings, etc, etc.

It would involve me reinstalling , 1 at a time every single mission, utility, voice pack and on and on, testing over several campaigns missions for weird behavoir, then repeating until I found the suspect. that is even if there was one. I recently had eye surgery and was pretty dang medicated the same time 2.04 was released.
Like an idiot I just dumped everything from my Il-2 goodies folder as I call it back in after installing the patch and went right to work making all the conf. changes and what not.

There is a more than good chance that painkillers had something to do with unwanted and weird AI changes.

Let that be a lesson boys and girls, not only can drugs kill you, more tragically, they can really pork up your simm.

As it is I am to happy just to have a playable offline camp. back again. Soon I imagine curiosity will get me and I'll need to know what I did wrong and how but not today, today I laugh and fly, http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif
