I had posted this over on the UO forums, but I also wanted to share it with anyone who didn't catch it here.

The Myst Updater is a replacement of sorts for your desktop wallpaper that displays the latest news from three of your choice of a few news sites (Currently Myst Worlds, UO, MO, Mysterium.ch (English), Patchallel's Myst News, Dutch Myst Community, and DPWR.net) right on your desktop.

Check it out and tell me what you think, always open to suggestions:

http://myst.idyastudios.com/mystupdater.zip

I'll be opening a section for it on my site at http://myst.idyastudios.com/ soon...

Great idea Brilers. I don't run the active desktop so I haven't given it a try yet.

Have you (or anyone else) heard of Kilpfolio (http://www.klipfarm.com/farm.php)? It's like a little ticker that sits on the desktop. If anyone know XML and wants to make up a kilp for Myst news, I'd be one happy guy.

hey AF,

i hadn't heard of klipfolio before, but i've been using it for three days since you mentioned it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

i just figured a neat way to keep up to date on myst with it - download the feed viewer (http://www.klipfarm.com/farm.php?page=info&klip=916) klip if you haven't already got it, and in Klip Setup, point it to http://www.mystobsession.com/news.xml - that should be it - live myst updates on your desktop!
