Have y'all ever seen this show? Maybe it's old but it sure is interesting.

The Broken Wings episode I saw this morning on the History Channel in the US had an hour and a half of looking for wrecked aircraft.

One of the aircraft was a P-51 lost off of the California coast by a WASP pilot during WWII. Another was a T-33 jet lost in the California mountains in the 1950s. And still another was a P-61 that crashed landed postwar during photo duty of a flying wing.

Cool stuff! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I saw that show a couple of months back, and I agree, it was extremely interesting. The interview with the crewman from the B-17C that went down in '41 was very revealing. I didn't know about the design flaws he discussed, especially the fact that the plane originally only had a single vacuum pump to drive the gyros. If you haven't seen the show, it's a "do not miss" in my opinion.
