I noticed while flying the Emil today that there is a set of red lines on the external view of the cockpit glass that arn't there on the internal view. Can anyone tell me what they would have been used for in real life? I can guess that their exclusion in the cockpit is just a slight error and not a big problem.

Pilot's aligned that red line on the cockpit glass with the horizon to set up for a bombing run. I could of sworn I saw this line from inside the cockpit in one of the models. I'll check it out again.

Yep, none of the Emil cockpit models have this red line while all the external models have it except for the plain old E-4 (which can't carry bombs).

I think this would be a neat little feature to add to the game. I assume they would work like the ones on the Stuka. Another quick question, how often was the Emil used in a bombing role as opposed to a fighter?

The G-14 is the only model where you can see it while in the cockpit.

IIRC, many emils were user during early-middle stages of the war as JABO's, probably also due to their short range and powerfull enough weapons for attacking ground targets, cuz the aerial fighting was sustained by later 109 models.
