Ok, big debate at home just now, I have no idea why as we can't afford either and I'm fairly happy with the TV thats there, but then, I am dad & doomed to be wrong or too tight fisted

I havea 42' plasma and it great for watching movies but we decided to concentrate more on the sound system and bass.

plasmas need to have the plasma recharge after about 4 or 5 years because the plasma loses its light conductivity, on the other hand LCD can get dead or stuck pixels

I went with a rear projection tv last year, got a 52 inch one. the picture was just as good and price was cheaper by about 2500 dollars.

the set really dont take up that much more room then the 27 inch it replaced depth wish anyway.

Still wanting to hook the computer up to it but the wife says no.

I have a Panasonic plasma TV and love it. In the larger sizes I think plasma is still the way to go. The picture is so good with DVD's I don't see myself upgrading to HD DVD until the battling formats has settled a bit.
