alot of these guys are just resellers. they find a popular item out of production and buy them up. you may be seeing the last remnants of the sidewinder...or the pricey ones still available.

Ebay at your own risk. Usually you get good deals but it can always go bad. Look at the buyer comments for that seller and make up your own mind.

I agree. What about the part about the seller purchasing the MSFF Sidewinder 2 new at Best Buy Feb. 05? I thought those sticks had been off the shelves for years, was that possible?

Only if someone at Best Buy tucked it way back on the shelf some years ago and it was forgotten , but I would suspect that statement as BS. I'm also "bidding" for a MSFFB2 on Ebay for a back up to mine. $50.00 tops my bid

Ya, the guy said he could not provide 'actual' pictures of the joystick he was selling, only old advertisement pics of a brand new stick. Doesn't e-bay make you declare if the pics you display are the actual item your selling or not, seems decietful to me. Anyhoo, the part about buying it at Best Buy just last year didn't settle well. It had a 'buy now' price of $75 and if you just read the writeup and looked at the pics, it looked to good to be true and sure enough, the first bidder paid the $75. Could be wrong, but I hate to buy anything without at least seeing a present day pic of it.

It is possible that that is true. I got my spare MSFFB2 while working at Best Buy part time in the fall of 04.... I was going to get a FFB wheel but someone took it and sold it before I could get it. It is possible that at one of the BB stores where joysticks dont sell well it was lurking around.

Just snagged me a backup MSFFB2 on Ebay $69.50 including shipping($12.50) First time trying Ebay. When I get the joystick I'll let ya's know if it's worth the dough.
