Here is a quick summary of what we know about the book listings that appeared recently:

Two books currently listed on Amazon, their titles (as listed):
Assassins Creed Holy Land (Assassins Creed 3) [Paperback]
Assassin's Creed: The Secret Crusade [Paperback]

Both books have the same release date and Product Description:

(June 28, 2011)

After his family was betrayed and disgraced by the most powerful families in Italy, young Erazo chose the path of vengeance-and entered a world of mysticism and murder beyond anything he could have imagined. But his quest is far form over.

Spelling mistake their own. The Amazon page for Assassins Creed Holy Land (Assassins Creed 3) isn't set up very well so its information could be off or even a complete error and they look to be the same book. As of yet it is unclear if this book ties in with a game although the date seems unusual if that is the case.

When I first wrote that summary there was no cover art for The Secret Crusade, I just checked again out of curiosity (Due to the new reveal) and I found this:

http://ec5.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Nc9bnxzoL._SS500_.jpg

It says it is an original novel so it doesn't appear to be a novelization of AC: Revelations, so i'm not sure if this does provide any hints to its content. It could be the description is intentionally misleading.

It also appears on the Penguin Books site.

Nice find, it looks like the description is wrong on purpose- guess they'll write the right one after some official announcement of AC:Revelations..

Waterstone's has a plot summary here (and doesn't list Holy Land at all).

http://www.waterstones.com/wat...ret+crusade/8557150/ (http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/products/oliver+bowden/assassin27s+creed3a+the+secret+crusade/8557150/)

"Niccolo Polo, father of Marco, will finally reveal the story he has kept secret all his life - the story of Altair, one of the brotherhood's most extraordinary Assassins. Altair embarks on a formidable mission - one that takes him throughout the Holy Land and shows him the true meaning of the Assassin's Creed. To demonstrate his commitment, Altair must defeat nine deadly enemies, including Templar leader, Robert de Sable. Altair's life story is told here for the first time: a journey that will change the course of history; his ongoing battle with the Templar conspiracy; a family life that is as tragic as it is shocking; and, the ultimate betrayal of an old friend."

Sounds like the new game....the facebook reveal already show Altair's arm. Gotta wonder if the description was put up on mistake....since amazon still has an incorrect one.

Uhhhh? Did you ever play the first game? Unless there's some backtrack elements in the new game..that sounds just like the first.

First off, it says he has to kill Robert De Sable which he does on the first game. Betrayed by an old friend? Al Muahlim?

EDIT --

Totally sorry. You were just quoting him so you could direct your response at him. I never read the sounds like a fake description thing :P

Guess this book is only for people who haven't played AC1 so they'll be familiar with Altair's story once AC: Holy Land(=Revelations?) comes out.

Finally: the Altair Chronicles!
I love the books.
Much love, Oliver Bowden, you did a great job interpreting Ezio's adventures.

Hey! that's the book I bought @ Barnes and Noble along 2ith Renaissance and Brotherhood.
Based of AC 1 and Bloodlines but also in the end it mentions

*SPOILER(s)*
Ezio heading to Constantinople
*SPOILER(s)*

So is there "two" versions of the 1st book?
Since inside the book (secret Crusade) it says it was published in July 2011?
