Well, I get frustrated trying to move my hat switch at -135 or 135 or 45 and -45 and want to set dual buttons/keys for up and down views.

I have an x-45 and CHPro Pedals.

I've got some of the functions where I want them, but would like to edit the controls file, if possible to type in the button/hat setup the way I desire.

Anyone with a clue what to do, so I don't do it wrong???

Yes, I have a clue. Don't bother editing the controls file, use the X-45 profiling software to build a profile.... or download one. Mine is linked under my signature picture. I use mouse panning, not the snap views, but I can quickly edit it to use snap views instead if you'd prefer.

If you don't like Saitek's SST drivers and you'd like to use Dhauzimmer's drivers instead, I can also dig up one of my old Hazardscript or XDProfile profiles for you. The can also be edited if need be.

I don't run the JS Profiling software because it resides in the background and eats up some ram, so I'd rather edit the config, if that's possible.

Try these in your user\doe\settings.ini they utilize the numeral pad and + & - key there pressed at the same time or not to give you essentially 27 views....Imagine no + or - used then it is though you are just pivoting your head....Press the + or - at the same time as one of the numerals and it will look up or down in that same quadrant.

the ram it "eats up" is very very minimal. I noticed no changes whatsoever with it on and enabled and with it off. This was when i was flying with a slow rig and connection. Its realyl worth having that being the only thing running in the start menu. Plus if you have to reinstall PF for some reason, you dont have to reassign or rememebr how you had things setup. You simply have your X45 profile saved.
