After a brief but sort of shocking initial disappointment with parts of Pacific Fighters I settled into mission building again. I've released 4 single mission packs for AEP (all on Netwings) and I'm planning to release a larger pack for Pacific Fighters when I'm done. I build missions when I feel like it on topics that I'm interested in (I've done a little research on each area to try and be somewhat historically correct).

Let me tell you, the most fun I've had is on the Kyushu map. Its got stunning scenery...and on the southern inlet area you have a fantastic mountain that reaches up probably to 2000 meters or so. Whatever it is, its very prominant and its a beautiful sight.

So I've setup a great attack mission with Hellcats and Avengers and I've been having alot of fun.

So my point? Give PF a chance...its got some GREAT stuff, some great scenery...you just need to find this stuff and its a great feeling.

There is a Kyushu map?

ALL RIGHT! WOOT! EXCELLENT! Three cheers all round. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Before i only had a burning desire to own PF, now its an outright, uncontrollable urge that overwhelms all capacity for logic or reason.

No prizes if you can guess which island of Japan i'm living on at the moment

BTW the mountains is probably Mt Aso (Aso-san), one of the most beautiful (and active) volcanoes in the world. Its only about 65 klicks from where i live! Some amazing scenery and nice onsens (natural hot springs)

How about use the FMB to build one mission where you can land near one of the onsens and then take a dip in it? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Obviously its not going to look 100% like the actual place but I'm sure its fairly close...good enough for me. Its beautiful!

That might just push the rating up a bit. According to Japanese tradition and custom you must be NAKED to enter the waters of an onsen.

Its a great way to relax. And before you ask: Yes, the sexes are seperated.

If you do ever come to Japan its one of those must do things. Just make sure that on your first visit you aren't followed in by the local sumo team. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Makes you wonder why the Japanese are pro whaling!

I probably can host the maps for our international competitions and inter-servers.
