Gentlemen, HELP!!!
I don't know what I've messed up in my game during LAN flights, but I cannot chat with my friends anymore. I write whatever I want, adress it "to all", but they don't see any msg. What's more funny, I can't see their msgs either... I guess this isn't anything serious to repair, probably it requires some kind of "one-button" or "one-line-in-cfg-file" solution, but I'm dumb enough not too find it... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
What to do? Any tips appreciated

These are the conf.ini lines you need to have:

[chat]
region=(dx=0.61035156,dy=0.0703125,x=0.13378906,y= 0.036458332)
adr0=ALL
adr1=MY_ARMY

Occasionally online sometimes my messages are lagged by up to as much as 3 minutes, but that shouldn't be the case on a LAN.
Don't know what else to suggest; never heard of this problem before. Sorry.

Two things to observe here:

1. Make a backup copy of your conf.ini file before saving changes to it.

2. The online chat messages are not not lagged, but sometimes you have to click on the chat area and then press Page Down to make them visible. There is a little yellow and black scroll bar on the chat that shows where you are. Sometimes the new messages do not push the previous messages up for whatever reason, but they are there.

Sorry michapma; i hate to disagree with you when I respect your knowledge about the game so much, but I know about the scrolling issues and how to scroll through the chat screen.
I haven't experienced it with AEP yet, but in all versions right up to 1.22 I occasionally played online games where my chat was delayed by a few minutes. I don't know the cause.
Never heard of chat not working at all before though.

After makin' tests yesterday I noticed:
a) chat works OK when joining HL servers;
b) chat works OK when connecting via LAN with friends living in the same apartament block;
c) when joining server hosted by a friend in the other part of the city (via ASDL), chat doesn't work...
This is the most idiotic problem I've ever witnessed in a multiplay gaming http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
I guess it must be something about connection then. I still don't know how figure it out, but there are positive points of that - it's like flying in very early warbirds without radio, no communication, just waving your wings etc. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif More challenging experience.
Anyway, thanks everyone for responses.
