Someone needs to make a new server; Biplanes only. Maps could be Desert, Russia, France, with I-153, Gladiator and CR 42 Falco.

For the lover of the biplane http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Somebody up to it? I won't be able to unfortunately http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I think I saw a thread a little while ago about 'the return of the cr@pplanes server'

It was a server that only allowed planes that most other servers reject - p11c, J8A, i153, cr42, g50, IAR, etc.

I haven't noticed it on hyperlobby, but then I don't remember the exact name. Wish the search function around here actually worked. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Or you could always join the WTE http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif (Wedge Tailed Eagles)

The pick of the bunch for us lot based in Oz - and on their dedicated gaming nights outside their internal campaign, they often play missions on their WTE_Ded server that members suggest. You could con someone into making a Glad/Cr42 mission, then run it with the squadron.

Once I finally get back in sync with daylight saving time (End of march), I'll be flying with 'em myself.

Sounds good, can I have a link?

Btw why doesnt anybody like biplanes around here? They were the forefathers of aviation! You should show some respect http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'll second that! We should have the P.11, too, as an honorary biplane--it's just as slow, but less maneuverable... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oh, and include a TB3 for the ground pounders. Heck, it was flying years before the Cr.42. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Good point, however I'm not sure if the biplanes weapons, especially the Glads .303's would be able to do any damage lol

Wedge Tailed Eagles (http://wte-anga.com/)

The Sturmovik/Pacific Fighters group is the 2nd Talon Wing. Four squadrons - 2 allied, 2 axis, depending on where you prefer your loyalties to lie.

I've only just started training with them myself - and they're a laid back bunch of fellahs, but at the same time have some of the most detailed training programs I've seen. Quite a few of the founding members are r/l flight trainers.

Plus, they run a World-at-War official continuity campaign (It's been running for a year or so now, I think) wich is a whole new world for this sim http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

We're pretty short on Aussie Squadrons - it's either WTE or the RAAF: both are top bunches (and they fly against each other once a fortnight), but there are quite a few things that set WTE apart, not in the least the welcoming attitude of their members.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, fellahs http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
