Hi
I downloaded a video from Checksix, I think it was called Elevation... had the U2 music playing along with it... and I was delighted with the engine sounds... Are they for real, as they appeared in the movie, or was just a Hollywood kind of add to get us all droolling?

Just curious

Thx yellownet for the reply...
that is indeed a shame...

I was hopping and praying that the sound was like that indeed... well, it´s like AEP, just more planes and boats. They could save the copywriter the time consuming task of getting a name to the game... just call it the "Ace Expansion Pack2 - Pacific Scenario".
I understand that is hard to model all this things, but the sound it´s a must for a good sim as this.
I´m really disapointed at this. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I too would like to have hear improved engine sounds, especially since Strike Fighters and LoMAC show it is possible to use real .WAV files and still get good doppler and pitch variation effects without killing an average system (well, LoMAC's still a system-killa).

However, I think we are still getting a lot more than more planes and ships. For one we can take off and land from them, and it seems like it will be done rather realistically. Lots of new maps, opening cockpits, adjustable seats, folding wings, improved torpedo behavior, complex ship damage modeling, greatly improved dynamic campaign system...

Oh, and did I mention the muzzle flashes are brought down quite a bit?
