Very useful info with the B&Z tactic threads, like anything else......takes alot of patience and practicehttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif. Although it seems that most people prefer boom&zoom tactics for a better chance of survival, you gotta know how to turn&burn if you get lured into a T&B fight.....So, could someone help me out on some pointers here http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Thanks!

I dont know if this will help you out but I used to Turn&Burn alot before I started B&Z and let me tell you I wound up burning more than turning http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif. If your aircraft isnt a good turner then don't bother, you'll just burn off speed and become vulnerable. B&Z isnt for every aircraft, but maintaining speed is the best tactic. If your faster than your target then you have the advantage. I B&Z and sometime I get sucked into a turn and burn situation and burn my speed to a better aircraft. So the point of all my blabbering is to know the capabilities of you opponent and you aircraft. If your plane is slower use speed and get alt. Turn and burn in an upward spiral to get alt. Rudder actions help as well. I am still learning everday but I get more and more down everytime I fly. BTW if you just want to win just get the KI-84 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif. The almost invincible plane.

There is no BnZ.

There is no TnB.

There is only the almighty E.

Everything else is mental masturbation.

I'm not sure if your head explodes, but it (mental masturbation) might explain all the runny noses I've been seeing lately...

cheers

First you'll start to TURN, then to BURN, and don't forget to ZOOM out of the way when you BOOM http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif

Now my no-nonsense answer; you should first know if your plane is a TnB or B&Z one..and like H_Butcher said the almighty E is for ENERGY MANAGEMENT...always keep your energy in mind...and don't get into TnB fights if your plane is not suitable for it...

Don't know if this helps but when I fly the Spit (or any other plane really) I try to conserve energy/build speed at all costs. In other words, unless the enemy is close to me, I don't use hard manouveres, and if I can I try to gain speed and alt. Was that too basic?
