Just a quickie, what is the highest setting avilable when configuring regular in-game sound?
Never mind saving on system resources. I bought a new sound card and want to stretch it's legs a bit http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

er... I guess you mean the IL2 settings and the XFI card i assume you got?

I just maz everything on the sound settings:

Channels: 32

Speaker type: headphones or your preference.

3D engine: FULL. (with XFI, no slowdown, stutter or anything) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Sampling rate: 44100

Audio enhancements and hardware acceleration ticked.

Make sure you XFI is in `game mode ` too in your control panel.

So just selecting Soundblaster live settings or Maximum direct X isn't as high as it'll go?

er, eh?

Just do what I posted, you don`t need the rest. It`s like configuring your graphics card, don`t just accept default. There`s not even an XFI option in there anyway.

That setting in the config file for attenuation will set the level of outside sounds from the inside... 7 is highest... the lower you set it the lower the outside sounds will be.. from the inside.

Thanks guys. I have attenuation at zero already. Following your instructions SeaFire. I'll make it my new standard http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
